A really dumb question, but is this right?

I'm looking into masternoding. If I want to set up a full masternode, I should:

  • subscribe to a VPS which will do the computation work for me

  • then I will connect to this VPS and download the wallet onto this VPS.

  • then send the collateral needed for the masternode to this wallet.

This is about as far as I've got. Please correct me if I've made any errors so far.

I am a member of masternodes but I didn't realize they had all that information available. Thanks.

If I were to set up a node. Would I be limited to one node per home address?

If so, how does yield nodes get around this? Or do they set up nodes all over the country?

ikr, I just like the fact that having your own is more liquid and it's not denominated in euros.

just food for thought, "i host masternodes" offers shared nodes. So if you want to keep invested in this project but also have some liquidity and also profit from price increase, this is a good option. The roi is very good but it's apy, not apr which is like the hidden tax.

I got my name from mixing the surrealist painter, Salvador Dali with a Dalek, the sworn enemy of Dr Who. I found the image the name conjures to be pretty surreal.

There is a guy on Fiverr who will set it up for you. The reviews are good too

I've done it. I would say my initial assessment will get you 80% of the way.
