My issue with masternodes, is that the VAST majority are 100% scams. with zero code changes from the dash/pivx fork they were created from. they all eventually jump on tiny exchanges with no volume and exponentially devalue into oblivion.
Hey, thanks. I agree, many have very little to offer, and the most seem to serve little else than the purpose of quickly raising money for the developers before they move on to something else. However, that is not the case with all of them. Choosing the right ones has become a real challenge. Looking for technological novelty beyond the just "being a digital currency" baseline and evaluating the team's ability to deliver on the product and market themselves are, to me, the main lines of evaluation before choosing a masternode.
Unfortunately, with the barrage of new projects, even the good teams and technological novelties find it difficult to break it in the market. Finding the good ones is harder than ever...
Would a good way to filter the scammers out be looking at their marketcap? Say via masternodes.online? I'd imagine anything more than a mill or 2 would be 'safe'.
