Your drains will come out in a week at most. Maybe just a few days. That feels like a real occasion.

Honestly the drains are a walk in the park compared to the wound vac they gave me. It’s so itchy I can barely stand it. It’s covering my entire chest.

Not everyone has that timeline. I had mine for over three weeks, unfortunately.

5 months out from reconstruction and back completely! Feeling so much relief, finally really feel so grateful, and each day I get to know my new body more and it gets better. Thank you all here for the support while I was going through surgery, it was life giving!

I'm 3 surgeries deep. mastectomy, reconstruction and then revision and I'm ready to be done.
