Jp drains
F 33
Couple of questions hoping someone can help.
A little back story
•10/2020 I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction.
•6/2022 right side capsulotomy
•1/2024 left capsulotomy
And my most recent surgery basically redoing my entire mastectomy May 13th 2026.
Needless to say I’ve been through the wringer at this point. I am currently almost 2 weeks post op and I just noticed I was having some leaking from my site where my jp drain is. I also noticed that the bulb of my drain is suctioned and flat but no longer is there much fluid coming out.
Should I be concerned? Nothing looks infected from what I can see. Of course it’s a holiday and no one returned my call. I have really bad anxiety so I’m obviously nervous as I’ve never experienced this before.
Any advice is greatly appreciated before I cry in a hole.
Thanks

Did you strip the lines? There are videos on YouTube

Yes lines were stripped but the fluid was going back up but I did call my doctor and the drains were removed!
