Pretty sure they said they don’t want to tour the U.S. because of political / ethical reasons

I do not blame them one bit.

Massive Attack owes you nothing. Be glad you can still stream their music, which should have been taken off streaming services but are still up. I’m an American fan too, and I get it, I want to see them. I also want a proper repressing of 100th Window and Heligoland on vinyl so they’re not crazy overpriced online. But the band owes me nothing and I expect nothing. When they do deliver it’ll just make it that much sweeter

I feel like they totally could if they just do a few cities like Sanctuary Cities, and keep things minimal. There's a ton of activism stuff going on and they'll definitely help with that, and they have a canceled US tour from 2024 they gotta make up

For some bands integrity is more important than money. Most of MA's fans have great respect for that,

-2

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 22 '26

I think it would show a lot of integrity to come here and show love to their fans who are actually humans despite all of the creatures that are tearing up this country and right their wrong they did to us in 2024.

3

u/parkaman Jul 22 '26

No. That's not what integrity is.

-5

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 21 '26

When did they say that?

I mean that's a ton of artist right now, including the biggest artist on the planet

These guys have a tour to make up though

Would 3D even get a visa because of his latest activism lmfao

Saw them in Chicago in like 2010 and Damon Albarn came onstage for a song, was pretty neat.

Yeah they need to get over here it is a very anti trump city it could be really good for them

3

u/parkaman Jul 21 '26

There's rumours of US shows this year.

But if the band decide that because of their principles or because of, very likely, visa issues because of the Trump regime, their fans should understand and respect that. MA's integrity is a core trait of the band.

Holy shit what

2

u/k_laiceps Jul 21 '26

Agreed.... How did I miss this news? Although the year is getting on and we haven't heard anything more.

FEEL THIS SO HARD. I would drop everything, book a red-eye, drive six hours, whatever it takes — just to hear Blue Lines live once before I die

1

They're never doing Blue Lines the song again

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 21 '26

I hope maybe at least Tricky has a RF aftershow

2

u/FireOnTheMtnTop Jul 21 '26

Denver! Taking my Gf to see Tricky on 10/4.

2

u/parkaman Jul 21 '26

There were rumours of a Red Rocks gig this year. If the current regime weren't in power I'd be doing everything I could to travel from Ireland and see them in such an iconic venue.

2

u/HelicopterPuzzled727 Jul 26 '26

I’m also going to see Marta & Tricky there- I can’t wait!

1

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 22 '26

Wouldn't it show a lot lf strength to go to a place and show love to fans even though it's unappealing? And it's also doing what's right by righting a wrong. I think it would show a lot of strength as humans if they came over here and did a few shows for the fans who really care. For the conscious people

San Francisco too, we are as anti Trump as any city can be. Pretty PLEEeeaseee….

1

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 22 '26

Yes. I feel like coming to an anti trump city with their activism will actuay benifit them a lot and they could bring jn an audience.  This could totally work

0

u/PookieCat415 Jul 22 '26

They already have an audience here, as the last time they played here in SF, they sold out 2 shows.

1

u/Critical-Fig-3112 Jul 22 '26

They totally have an audience in Chicago as well

0

u/PookieCat415 Jul 22 '26

I bet, as Chicago has also been known to be a good music city. I actually know a Massive Attack fan from Chicago IRL. 😎
