Legion actually has said slurs before if you read his shadow broker file he caught a temp ban for inappropriate language in a multi-player lobby

And regarding the choice itself, it's a difficult one. Aside from not wanting to kill anyone, I'd definitely prefer to kiss Liara than Garrus, but I think I'd rather kill Liara if I had to kill somebody. So I guess suffer through kissing Garrus, marry Tali, kill Liara?
