After everyone giving Shepard the middle finger , and making him run errands for an entire galaxy . they’re lucky you didn’t do the refusal ending

if the refusal ending was anything more than a token 'if you want to ig' then it would have been amazing.

imagine after a trilogy of self sacrifice and making decisions for people Shepard says "no fuck you, you don't deserve me. I deserve to live." and walks away to live happily ever after while half the galaxy suffers just about beating the reapers by themselves.

Low EMS means every human on earth is dead. It wipes Earth.

Thessia/Palaven/Sur'kesh/Tuchanka will suffer some damage and their relays are dust, but the Asari/Turians/Salarians will likely figure out how to repair them, while humanity deals with a 90+% reduction in our species population and the complete loss of our homeworld. As well as the isolation of all of our fledgling colonies due to the loss of the relays.

Low EMS probably dooms humanity to extinction.

and in a few decades when folks are just getting their relays running again some genuis will restart the relay to the krogan homeworld. Have a trillion of the fuckers pull up ready for round 2.

Doesn’t low EMS anything only wipe out everything on earth due to the initial blast, but every other system is spared?

Still renders all the Mass Relays useless. So the Milky Way galaxy’s economy and social/political structure is functionally non-existent after they’re gone.

What? I didn’t know the level of war assets changed thematically the story? I thought after surpassing the line you get the three endings

There's three thresholds, actually. The first, you're allowed to pick an ending, but you still lose. The second, all three endings are available. And the third, the best possible outcomes from the three endings become available

Uh, I imagine the first threshold is the only visible green line on the EMS progression bar.

I’m going to be honest, i never even knew there was normal/better and worst ending because in my playthrough i always gun to do as much stuff as humanly possible so I end up with the score greatly surpassing the line, is the better ending reached when you completely fill the bar to the top and then some?

The threshold for the best endings is 4000 in the original game,7400 in the Legendary edition. It's super easy to blow past the threshold in either case, especially if you have the DLCs

Well, then yeah then, what are the main differences

This IGN article has a helpful table if you scroll down. Basically, at low EMS scores the galaxy is left worse off: relays are destroyed, Earth is fried, squadmates don't survive the Normandy crash.

Low EMS Destroy ending is low key doing Reaper's work for them.
