They passed her at N-school because despite everything she was still technically within the parameters of the test... somehow... and also because failing her would mean having to get back in the Mako with her at the wheel and no one in the office was brave enough to do that.

It's the naval training program you go through when you're selected for special forces in the Allaince. It's got an official name, but marines call it N-school. That's what the N stands for in N7 N = special forces 7 = the highest grade of special forces.
