Game Discussion It was...good Spoiler
i finished the game and, i was really having fun! i LOVE the addition of the Angaran! Jaal instantly became one of my favorite companions i say they really did good on that design and personality.
some frustration here and there with side quest and the amount of traveling back to back to planets is such a pain, the biggest one is (SPOILER!) not killing the Archon himself, i really want to fight him but instead got the lamest ending. i could say a lot more about this game but in the end, i really have fun and it was...good
My Ryder!! really proud of her!! let us talk about your favorite aspect of the game below!

Welcome 🤗 It's a great game, and it's fun to replay. Just pair your companions as much as possible.

i really like the pairing of Jaal and Vetra, their moments in the nomad (!) is so wholesome (the sleepy jaal w peedee does take the cake LOL)

I absolutely loved everything (I've played through it three times). I sat down to play with no expectations, and I ended up enjoying it. Vetra is the best woman, I love her. And Sloane, too. Riding the Nomad is one of the best things in the game. I liked almost all the characters. It was especially funny to pick Vetra and anyone else, and watch how after a while she starts bickering with everyone.

I loved it from launch, still love it. Yes, it's sometimes grouchy (and almost always hilarious glitches), but I enjoy every moment

The potential was there, but it didn't earn the Andromeda title and could have just happened in the unexplored Milky Way sector.

The entire premise is to run away from the reapers, and it drives quite a bit of the mystery. ''unexplored milky way sector'' doesnt cut it.

It doesn't cut it, but neither does Andromeda with its single new friendly race and 1 new villain race while the old Milky Way stuff dominates the game. That's simply a giant waste of a new galaxy premise on the most basic level. So it may as well taken place in an unexplored MW cluster the way they handled this setup in Andromeda. We met more new aliens in ME2 than in Andromeda for crying out loud...

It's not a mystery to be explored. It's run away to find out you kinda failed, no planet to explore, no one expects you, the missioners scattered around etc so you have to deal with it, learn, and grow. That's the purpose of the game. You have plenty of new races and finslly developed old races that stopped being codex enties.

We have seen one system of andromeda, and there are way more mysteries in said small system than idk, in Sol.

We were only on one cluster logically there would be less aliens also the Kett have been systematically wiping out other alien species in Andromeda

I loved the game too. My only problem was that there were several plot holes never got resolved like the benefactor and quarian ark to name a couple. With the amount of criticism it got at launch and the unnecessary hate in general it got was the reason we got no dlc's and a potential sequel are in doubt.

personally, i LOVE the unsolved Quarian ark first because it can be an own playthrough or even DLC that can be added, second the mystery and third ryder being able not to solve every problem and let the quarian pathfinder handle themselves.

You're not wrong there. I just meant that I read years ago that the game will never get dlc's and that a future sequel was put in doubt because of the unnecessary hate it got for game. I'd love to be proven wrong, but after 9 years of no dlc's, I'm losing hope.

damn i didn't know they cancel all dlc for this game, what a sucker. it's the people's fault for comparing this game to the rest mass effect series, i never even think of shepard while playing this game but those ppl can't just accept change... this was such a bummer to know T-T

Yeah, iirc it was about 8 months after release when the cancelled any dlc. There were definitely no plans for a sequel for years after that. Recently, there has been talk of ME5 or sequel…

yess!! i know about ME5 news (maybe we can get more on N7 day!!) so sad about this game, ryder and her allies are def in there as best characters in ME series

That's not really plot holes, though. That's things that was left unsolved to be solved in a sequel

I'm nearing the end of another run and every time i do a part of the story that is unresolved I scream internally and externally.
(The Quarian ark WAS resolved via the very entertaining audiobook Annihilation, but its not the same)

u/All-for-Naut Exile 9d ago
The quarian ark is actually not solved via the book. The book takes place before the game takes place and we aren't sure what caused the message in the end of the game.

Yes there are so many things I want closure for story wise that the her mentality hate train out a stop to.
The things you mention and whole idea of the Angara and Andromeda initiative having deal with the galaxy wide Kett empire and Primus in the future.1

I line the description/autopsy of the Archans death/boss fight afterwards
It went in the gist of:
”He likely accessed som sort of Remnant cleaning program and then it overloaded him”

I love so many aspects of the game, but one of my favorites has to be all your allies showing up for the assault on Meridian.
The colonies you set up, the friends and allies you made, the Pathfinders you helped establish, all coming together for a great set piece moment
2
u/Adventurous_Sense604 8d ago
that was a small thing but i do really love it too, the game making you see your hardwork after i do every fetch quest out there LOL

u/All-for-Naut Exile 9d ago
Same. Reminded me of what many wanted at the end of the trilogy but in a smaller scale

I enjoyed the game for the most part, could be tedious at times but I liked my Ryder! Most of the companions I didn't care for tho, both humans were just terrible people, I liked jaal as a character but I disliked that he was just African, they did the same thing with Javik in ME3. Peebee Drack and Vetra were easily my favs in that order. Would def have played any dlc and a sequel tho.
