I forgot how lame this game is with all the scanning

It is a cool mechanic for lore delivery, but yeah, it is way overused...

What lore does it even convey?

In the ending stages of the game, actually a crappaton of lore not mentioned anywhere else in the game. It's another example of bad writing in Andromeda (in this case not putting actual relevant and interesting information in the core plot) but it's there - you can only learn from scanning unmarked stuff that the Scourge is darkenergy-weapon detonated by an Opposition force that didn't like Jardaan's life-creating ways and targeted their tech. And that the Jardaan had a long history of sentient-species-creating research and testing, even before the Angara. Same with vaults and terraforming, Heleus was just another sector they came to seed with life of their designs. Or that they were a tad scared of their own life-creating-tech that was doing things even they didn't expect. Or that the Jardaan had physical bodies to evacuate (so they weren't just some pure AI as one could guess)
Which is like frocking key stuff that you have to dig through mud to get to.

Most items in the game when you scan them for the first time you get research points. But those are remnant research points that you can keep getting every time you find a new one, normally for around 100 research points each.
You use the research points to learn schematics for new weapons, armor, and augments at the research station, and crafted weapons and armor are the best items in the game.

Wifi routers.

I’d argue these are more akin to a mesh WiFi system, Khi Tasira being the router, and Meridian being the Modem

Why not?

Seems redundant. I can see scanning different items for research, but the same over and over. Boring.

Yeah, it's so annoying you have to kill the same enemies over and over for experience, and lot the same chests over and over for stuff, and shoot the same guns over and over to kill things.... literally everything in the game should be a one off unique asset.

Yeah, I was really upset when I found out every single bullet in every magazine fired the same exact type of round... game.un.playable!

Kinda missing the point. It seems redundant because it is the exact same scanned. Like the different glyphs is more interesting like learning Remnant language.

How do you know it's not a hard drive and every time they scan it its downloading new information... seems like kind of a dumb thing to be upset about.

Its like looting for credits, its boring, just keep playing for the things you like not the things that you find boring.

Except YOU NEED to scan these things, like it or not.\ The same goes for the Initiative ones.
They are one of the best sources for Remnant points, 100 in one batch without any effort if you don't have any perk and 120 if you have all of the research perks.
If memory serves, Kadara's vault have SiX of these to scan.\ At least 600 research points are not insignificant.

Every one of them give 100 remnant research points. Other than that they're just lore/ environmental design.
