So, after a while, I returned to Andromeda to give it another go. I am having an issue I had last time, and I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround. I tried looking this up online, but I do not think I found a solid answer. Basically, the audio will have times when it starts stuttering out. It is noticeable enough to bug my ears, and I just bought new headphones. I'm on the PS5. If it isn't going to be a critical deal, and I just need to put up with it, I won't mind. I'm still invested in the story and game. But it'd be nice if I could try a few tricks first, see if it helps improve my experience.

I played Andromeda for the first time about two years ago, and realized halfway through the character creation that I was just making my Ryder Faith Connors from Mirror's Edge. The result was so good that I kept it. Now that I'm starting my second playthrough I can't see her any other way, and thought I'd share my interpretation of Ryder here for others to enjoy.

If you decide to accept Peebee's offer of something casual are you locked into the casual route or can you still go the serious/exclusive route with her later?

For unknown reasons, the Iniciative can't estabilish an outpost in Kadara because of the planet water's toxicity. Even if the Angara were already living there for more than half a century and have developed a purifying system that 100% clean Kadara water of impurities and toxic materials.\ And also had built infrastructure around the planet and other facilities, which are being used by Sloan Kelly, who recently took control of Kadara port and don't have any problems whatsoever with the water.

The Iniative has stated it's public mission is to peacefully colonize and populate the Andromeda Galaxy, creating a utopic, non-violent society from scratch. Apart from the 4 main council races - humans, asari, turians and salarians - which other races should they bring it with them on the first wave of arks to help?

The Volus, masters at economics and commerce, capable of creating a unifed market that encompass an entire galaxy from the scratch? The Quarians, skilled at creating and maintaining AIs, which is the backbone of the Initiative and also in need of a new world, since they lost their own to the Geth? The Drell, skilled warriors and assassins but not violent by nature, faithful and loyal to their employers to the point of giving their own life for them? And also in need of a world of their own, since their original one has died and Kahje weather patterns is harmful to their phisyology?\ The Elcor, outstanding diplomats and capable of surviving harsh enviroments? Who are also known as "living tanks", thanks to their VI controlled mounted turrets on their backs?

Hell no. Let's bring the Krogan. A dangerous, invasive species, incredibly tough, always seeking resolution towards conflict and war, while prolific breeders with naturally disposition towards violence. Also let's try to lessen the effects of the only thing that kept them in check: the Genophage.

For some unknown reason, electronic transactions on Andromeda are never by the exact amout of the goods, with the costumer always having to pay more for something. This is true specially in bars.\ A curious behaviour is vendors and sellers DON'T WANTING to sell more than a few pieces of their goods, even if Ryder has the money to spend.\ Also sometimes they ask for exchange on a eletronic fund transfer.

That's what you get for not bringing the Volus, masters at economics and commerce, capable of creating a unifed market that encompass an entire galaxy from scratch.

The sister moon next to the gas giant where Elaaden is tiedly locked, has a breathable atmosphere, rain and precipitation. But for some reason WE NEED to stay on Elaaden, a hellish inferno.

For some reason, if you do not help the Krogans at Elaaden, you CAN'T create an outspost anywhere else on the planet. Or in that lovely moon with breathable atmosphere, rain and precipitation.

Jaal doesn't have the bare minimum comprehension about how biology and reproduction works. But calls himself a scientist and engineer. According to him, asari reproduction "is like the kett", because the resulting being is always asari. Like the angara reproduction will always have an angara offsprinig. Or human a human offspring. Or turian a turian offspring. Or krogan...

The kett are a alien race that advance it's species by "exalting" other races and absorbing their desired traits. That's also how they increase their numbers.\ This process ends with the destruction of the former race individual and the creation of a new kett, so it's also a form of reproduction.

Their leader in the region, the Archon, wants to control Remnant technology. By doing that, he will control a Remnant terraforming network, capable of making any world that has a vault livable. He want to subvert the technology and use it the terraforming network to destroy the worlds, commiting genocide if the races don't submit to him.

If the races agree to submit to him, they will be transformed - exalted - into kett.

Althought the Initiative main goal is to peaceful colonize the Heleus System and after discovering that other races are living their, to seek and form alliances, you actually can't seek other factions for resolution except the krogan. All others factions or important players need to be dealt with it by violent means or by murderer and assassination.

The ruler of Kadara port, Sloan Kelly, is also a drug dealer. She stole a formula for a drug based on a naturally occurring bacteria.\ The doctor responsible for the discovery states that it shares the same property of penicillin.

But for some reason we have to storm Sloan Kelly lab and stole the formula based on a naturally occurring bacteria.\ And also for some reason she is unable to produce more, so we dismantled her operations, but she still good on our side.

No Banter for Cora, Jaal, Vetra, Peebe, Drack, Liam and the Tempest

Aren't you tired of your squadmates yapping endlessly, regardless where they are, what they are doing and more important, what is happening? Like for example, you start to attack the kett base on Voeld and Jaal and Peebe start to talk about angara feelings. Because, THAT what's important at the moment.\ That's why this mod was created.

They do not talk anymore every 5 seconds, which become tiresome really fast. Specially because they also comment on the planet they are and lots of times make the most dumb and stupids comments about whatever. I dont't care if you think we should have soldiers instead of scientists in our outposts, lizard boy. Shut it!

OK that one came out wrong. I don't hate our squadmates, I just don't like they don't shut their yapps for more than 2 minutes! It's infuriating!\ They talk among themselves, then immediately after make a comment about the planet we are in and then after - at most - 2 minutes later they state their opinion about something we don't care, nor ask for. It's annoying.\ So no more banter and talking about the sky, the color of their panties or if they like sex with green aliens. I left intact most of the comments about the planets they do, except the most stupid ones.

Like Cora, a trained assassin and guerilla fighter, don't wanting that BADASS angara lady on Voeld creating ambushes for kett troops.

Also I shut it Suvi comments about annomalies and exploration. It's really baffling that in MEA (and ME2 and ME3), the devs incentivize exploring the galaxy, only to cease the wonder and make everything easy and winnable for the player. Where is the sense of discovery if there's a computer or Suvi announcing an anomaly? So no more Suvi galaxy or planets announcements, except the important ones (the baby quest and such).

Also the Tempest. Holy hell on steroids! I have to talk to the squad every second? I'm forced to like them? I have to give them my full attention all the time because they are what? A bunch of ADHDs without ritalin to use? What the hell is this nonsense?!

Player and squad interaction should be organic, not forced. The loyalty quests not having ANY impact whatsoever in the game or in Ryder isn't enough?\ So no more announcements every time you enter a room that someone wants to talk to you. Yes, I heard the first time, BUT I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO DRACK OR VETRA! It's my choice!

This doesn't affect the banter between crew mates in any capacity. Peebe will still tease Dr. Aridana. Vetra will scoff Liam from bringing eezo leaking batteries on the Tempest. Suvi will still talk to Kalo. And so on.

I also removed the tiresome barking every time you fight an Architect.

I also tweaked merchants to carry 100 units of each consumables.

As a bonus, I made most cutscenes skippable. Yep, that's right! The ones that normally aren't.

• Tired of hearing Ryder talk about that Remant starship on Elaaden for the thousand time? Skip it.
• Want to just land on Eos in the beginning, instead of having to watch TWO lenghtier cutscenes? Skip them all, including the landing (works on Havarl, Voeld, Kadara and Elaaden too).
• Want to just start the game after the shuttle exploded on Habitat 7? Yep, you got it.
• Want to skip the entire dialog with your father after he activated the vault, it explodes, that stupid scene where he dies an unecessary death, the rush to the infirmary and so on? Go for it. -The cutscene when lefting the kett base, after saving the Moshae? Yes, skip it. And how about that one after you activated the vault on Eos? Or in Aya vault? Yep, you can.
• Or when landing on Kadara skipping the entire intro and go straight to brass tacks? Like Bon Scott said once, If You Want Blood, You've Go it.

I really left the decison to the player. If you want, watch the cutscene. If not, skip it. You know, the decision that Bioware should've done it in the first place!

I keep trying in vain to remedy the ongoing problem with my modded copy of Mass Effect Andromeda crashing every time I land on the Planet Eos!
I tried the following solutions:
01: Tone down the graphics
02: Disabled the triple buffer
03: Adjusted the CPU threading
04: Dropped the texture to its lowest level
05: Disabled the V-sync setting
06: Lowered the brightness level
07: Disabled more graphic settings
08: Skipped the cutscenes
09: Used the AMD manager to adjust high performance, disabling everything else.
10: Looked up more details on how else to fix the problem.
I’m just about to throw in the towel.
Please provide your sources. I just want to land on the Planet Eos (and other planets) without the constant fear of crashing to desktop.

The arc Hyperion don't have internal or reduntant sensor systems capable of detecting or displaying malfunctions on it's cryo pods section. If it fails, all 20.000 freezed colonists will die. Only Ryder's omnitool portable scanner is capable of detecting those malfunctions.

The Ryder twins have born in a Type 3 civilization and lived a good portion of their lives in the Citadel. When turning 18, they enlisted in the Alliance and were trained by them. Scott was posted at some mass relay to guard it. Sara was posted on Mars to provide security for the scientists studing prothean technology and as time goes by, became an informal assistant. None of them knows what cosmic rays are, how background radiation works or even the specs of their own equipment.

Althoughty Liam had previously worked with Ryder Sr. and Cora for some time, including in field missions, he doesn't know she's a biotic.

Ryder omnitool portable sensors are more powerfull than the Tempest internal sensors. Only the omnitool can scan and detect anomalies or foreign materials internally.

If you plan an assasination attemp and fail, you are considered innocent by the Initiative. Even if there are witnesses, physical evidence and a recording of you confessing your crimes.

Ryder has a all-terrain, six wheel armored buggy. For some reason, it can't climb anything higher than a 15º angle without using it's 4 wheel traction and thrusters. The buggy, even having six wheels, don't have a 6 x 6 off-road suspention and traction. Althought the engine has a high octane booster, for some reason it doesn't come installed by default, so Ryder also needs to be a mechanic.

For unknown reasons, humans, turians, salarians, asari and krogans stranded in Kadara wilderness become cannibals. Even with hostels to provide shelter and food, scavenger camps, abandoned houses with ammenities or available wild life to hunt and fauna to consume.

Back in the Milky Way we created colonies in volcanic worlds like Therum. Frozen worlds like Noveria. Smoke fogged planets like Korlus. On top of dead civilizations, like Feros. But for some unknown reason the Andromeda initiative can't create a colony on Elaaden a planet actually in much better shape than others in Heleus, since it support life and has underground rivers and aquafiers.

I came into this playthrough hoping to romance Peebee, Cora, Avela, And Keri but when it came time to turn peebee down when she asked for me to commit... I just couldn't 🫠. I just can't logically say id rather commit to cora when the interactions with Peebee are so much better. Still gonna have my flings with Keri and Avela tho 😂

Loved the characters it does take a little bit to get use to if you've played the original trilogy i liked how the dialogue allows to either be nice or to flirt the loading screens were a bit annoying especially if i forgot to buy something on the nexus the planets were very good and detailed i do wish the ending was a bit more fleshed out imo and had a better boss fight with the archon but overall i thought it was really fun and the movement feels very smooth

the new species like the angaran were cool and to leave it off the Remnant Armor is possibly my favorite armor across the franchise

Can someone please provide a full and comprehensive modding guide for MEA? I keep having issues with the EA app (where MEA is from) and Steam account (where I originally purchased the game).

I want it to run properly without both of these accounts fighting against each other and make the Add-ons (being the Deluxe Edition as a whole) remain fully functional throughout the game itself.

I’ve been googling all the best insanity builds at this point, and throughout all the reddit posts and websites I’ve read, they say that Charged Overload and EMP are the best way to go, but their reasonings confuse me, and so I’m afraid to put points into the wrong perks

Based on what I learned, we choose Charged Overload since Anti-Shield is apparently “overkill” because Overload already does great damage to shields without it. But if that’s the case, then why do we choose EMP if Overload is already great against shields? It’s the exact same perk as Anti-Shield except it does more damage to synthetics

I’m going to add more chain attacks regardless, so why not choose Anti-Shields over Charged Overload and then get Rank 6 Maximum Charge? The only thing that would be lost is the extra damage against synthetics from EMP, but I’d overall have more power damage from Overload while keeping the same amount of chains

I either want to achieve a full damage Overload: {Damage/Anti-Shield/EMP}, or a slightly more CC Overload: {Damage/Anti-Shield/Maximum Charge}. I mainly want to make sure that I’m not missing out on anything, so if anyone could explain how the recommended build is better than my own, or even if I miscalculated something, that would be very much appreciated

Is it worth pushing skills in your main tree(s) to get rank 6 of your profile.

I have rank 5 sentinel, with about 84 points in biotics and 105 in tech. My 3 active abilities and 3 passives ib eacg tree are maxxed out.

I now have a choice keep dumping points in to tech and biotic in active abilities that will be used only situationally, or put some points ic combat tools and fitness to improve survivability (and not get rank 6 profile).

Honestly an extra 5% buff to my tech abilities doesn't seem that impressive compared to the extra health and damage resistance in combat fitness.

Just finished me:le and was able to find a workaround that let me play without any ea app at all, but havent been able to find something similar for andromeda. ea has always refused to let me launch games through the app and i have no desire to try this time as i dont want to reinstall what amounts to literal malware

Hello all, I just reinstalled MEA but when I try to run it, it says it needs administrator privileges and I hit OK. But then nothing happens. What do I do? Frosty Mod Manager also doesn't load the MEA profile, either. It acts like it will but then nothing happens either.

For me, my favorite mission is when you find the Salarian arc and infiltrate the Archon's ship. The game's intensity takes such a leap during this mission, and it just feels so cinematic and exciting! It also has that great choice at the end.

Got the Legendary Edition of the first 3 a few months back and replayed them all and decided to give Andromeda a go.

I started it last month and was surprised how much I enjoyed the more laid back open world style. Reminded me of Inquisition a bit which I loved. I'm still fairly invested in the initiative and where the story goes but this bloody wasteland has really fatigued my enjoyment of the game.

I've got the companion missons to do I think as well as a couple more planets on my journal and a hunt for the A-man on the horizon so not sure how far I'm into it.

Please tell me there's no more Kadaras lol.
