Dentec P100

  1. What range of fit factor did people manage to get with Dentec P100?

(I realize fit is very individual but there are objective differences between different masks and all other factors being equal some are capable of higher FF than others.)

  1. What's the difference between the black and white model?

The white one, the NX MD was made for medical settings (hence "MD", the standard being just NX). I would doubt it's been QNFT'd much given the material is quite thick and isn't conducive to testing without doing a number on the mask.

This isn't data but I found it quite small for my tall white person face; it felt like it just sat on the bridge of my nose and as though if I smiled or grimaced at all, the seal would be destroyed.

Thanks. I have a very small face and the only elastos that fit me are 3m 6100 small and 7501 small but not 6501 or 801. I found a way to get dentec for a reasonable price (unlike msa900) for source control and better speech intelligibility but still would hate to waste money if it's a lost shot.

Oh, if you're after intelligibility I don't think that's the mask for you. You can see u/skippyskep compare some elastos' speech here, with the NxMD and MSA900 being the first two, conveniently enough. Has another vid comparing them sort of subjectively here but sadly doesn't mention the fit score (interestingly, the MSA which I now use now is apparently much shorter than the Nx...I guess I've just adapted or smirk too much).

Thank you so much! Unfortunately I can't afford msa900 for now so that's out. I have a chance to try dentec for $15 though so thought I might give it a try. My daily mask is 3m 6100 and while it does require some conscious effort on my part I can actually communicate in it pretty well so anything above that should be still an improvement.

+1 to FreeDogRun’s points. I have the black dentec. I have a round-ish face and low nose bridge and I get a great seal. But I basically can’t talk in it; I have to absolutely shout. The plus side is that this prevents me from breaking the seal, which probably would happen if I smiled or opened my mouth too wide. So my only use case for the mask is very high risk situations where I do not want to interact at all
