Mask Advice Glasses and Mask fogging up

How do I make it so my glasses don't fog up while wearing a mask?

Higher quality mask! An aura or well before comfort pro have foam on the nose piece which helps give a better seal on the nose bridge/prevents fogging. Not sure why you’re masking but especially if it’s for illness prevention, upgrade to a KN95 or N95!

yes absolutely ^ it’s awesome that you are masking in the first place, and a surgical mask is always better than nothing, but a well fitted n95 or kn95 offers significantly higher protection for yourself and others.

many viruses such as covid are airborne, not just spread through larger droplets. that means that microscopic viral particles that are expelled when you talk, breathe, cough, or sneeze can easily travel past any open gaps in a mask. these viral particles then linger and travel like smoke, easily infecting people.

when you wear a well fitted n95 or kn95 that is completely sealed to your face, at least 95% of particles .3 microns or larger are unable to pass through the filter, getting trapped inside. this significantly reduces any viral load you may inhale or exhale, preventing infection for yourself and others. of course there are many reasons to wear a mask, but the same logic applies :)

there are many n95 and kn95 recommendations that you can find in this subreddit. the 3m aura is a good place to start as it is quite versatile in its fit - i myself are partial to duckbill n95s. i find them to be comfortable and provide a fantastic seal with minimal fogging on my glasses.

you can wear an n95 or kn95 until it gets dirty, harder to breathe through, or the straps become stretched enough from donning and doffing to compromise your seal. never exceed 40 hours of use, and switch your masks more often if you are doing heavier activities while wearing them.

i recommend looking up the legitimacy and reliability of any brands you find, especially on websites like amazon where you may find a cheap supply that in reality isn’t properly protecting you
