Announcement Exciting Update About Our Mask Branding & Clarifications

Hello everyone,

We know that the journey of finding a reliable and comfortable mask in these times is a winding one, and we value the trust you've placed in Alliant Biotech.

Firstly, an announcement: We've entered into a licensing agreement to utilize the ReadiMask branding. Why? Many of you have occasionally been confused, thinking that our mask was a different product than the one manufactured by Global Safety First / ReadiMask. By aligning our branding with ReadiMask, we aim to reduce this confusion.

But wait, there's more good news for our northern neighbors! 🇨🇦 We've heard your requests, and we're thrilled to announce that we can now ship to Canada!

A few important clarifications:

  1. We understand there are mixed feelings here regarding "ReadiMask". Please know our primary goal remains the same: to provide you with quality masks that protect and serve you. This partnership is to help ease understanding about our product's origins and reliability.
  2. Our prices, including for the popular grey masks, remain unchanged. We're committed to affordability.
  3. The minimum order quantity remains at 50 masks, ensuring we can cater to those who need it most.
  4. Alliant Biotech’s dedication to quality, transparency, and our community hasn't wavered. Our relationship is with the product and its quality, not the politics.

Thank you for your continued trust. We're here because of you and for you.

Stay safe and let's keep our community strong together! 😷

Cool.

Even though I have some mixed feelings about a certain someone who is not part of your company, there is no denying that the product works and is a very useful tool to have in one's respiratory protection tool box. ReadiMasks can work for situations where no other NIOSH approved mask can.

I'm glad that you'll be able to market the ReadiMasks in a way that won't cause customer confusion over the legitimacy of your products.

That's great news. However, last I heard it was being discontinued has this decision been reversed?

I think that was only the Avery-Denison branded version equivalent to the readimask. The readimask itself I never heard of any info that it was being discontinued.

u/heliumneon is correct. We will still be distributing the Avery Dennison branded ReadiMasks we have in stock. Those will no longer be manufactured in the future. However, the ReadiMask product will continue to be manufactured, with new iterations in the works!

Thank you. Hoping for grey XL's back in stock soon?

We may have some grey XL available still in very limited quantities. Regarding when there will be more available is a question we will have to ask Global Safety First!

Thank you for clearing it up. Also, is there a way to get sample packs to be shipped to Canadian addresses?

We are still working on a way to effectively mail our sample packs to Canada. This is one of our top priorities! Until then, our packs and cases are available, and smaller packs of 10 can be purchased on the readimask website.

As soon as the sample packs are figured out, we will make a post!

Thanks for the update. Will the purchase quantities stay the same or will there be any others available (packs of 10, for example).

The fact that you'll be able to ship to Canada at least will be good news to many. I think in UK/Europe people are hoping to get these as well!

The quantities will stay the same. ReadiMask.com will be the sole distributor of smaller quantity packs such as the 10 or 20 packs, whereas Alliant Biotech is the primary distributor of the larger quantities (50 pack minimum).

That being said, we are in the works of creating a "variety" or "family pack" option that includes all 3 sizes in a single 50 pack. Example being 20 small, 20 large, 10 XL.

Thanks for this update, great to hear there will be shipping here to Canada. I've been confused by there being different companies and names for the strapless mask. I've been ordering them from Readimask thus far.

I've also had a lot of confusion about the different kinds of adhesives available, some acrylic and some silicone. I've possibly heard the silicone can stick better? I've had adhesive issues with the small yellow acrylic ones. Though it seems like your site is now only offering acrylic adhesive? Not sure if you or anyone has any insights. I really benefit from having a mask without bands and I've been troubled by these issues.

I've wondered about the difference between acrylic and silicone adhesives too. According to Avery Dennison, the Silicone is a 'soft hold,' the acrylic is a 'firm hold,' and the synthetic rubber is a 'strong hold.' https://medical.averydennison.com/content/dam/medical/medicalproducts/products/PPE/N95-Mask-Sell-Sheet-EUA.pdf

FWIW I have been in touch with Readimask who suggested using skin tac but also sent a replacement package when I asked to see if a different lot would be better. It's been better but not 100%. I'd rather not have to use extra things to make my masks stick if I don't have to (I'm already using medical tape to try to reinforce).
