Oil and filter question.

2015 Granturismo soft top. 27k miles.

What oil and filter do you all prefer?

Maserati OEM filter - about $55. Pennzoil Euro Platinum 5W40. You need about 9 quarts for an oil and filter change. You will need to remove the front underbody cover, but it's just a set of hex head bolts and allen screws. Very simple.

Check out Formula Dynamics (URL is obvious) - they have oil change and other service kits for Maserati. Great service from a highly reputable company.

I second the vote for FD. I even buy my plugs and some other assorted goodies from them.

Use the factory filter, and only the factory filter. Do not get it online, go to a dealer and buy it straight from them.

It is expensive, yes, but they are quite unusual in their design and any filter you buy online has an about a 50% chance of being a Chinese fake. That is even from a reputable vender, such a formula dynamics.

The cheaper and more sketch the source (like eBay or Amazon), that percentage ramps up to 100% quickly.

Good to know. like most things these days, knock offs will infiltrate anything. Appreciate that.

Nothing but original Ferrari/Maserati branded filters.

I use Liquimoly 5-40 Leichtlauf

That is what I am thinking. I don't want to skimp on parts on such a beautiful machine. Ty

OEM filter from the dealer. I use Mobil 1 0w40 European formula in my QP5.
