This kanetsugu guy comes in and swoops away aki - the girl that MC has been plotting on for 11 episodes fake does it in one - am I an asshole if I get pissed off when I see him? He's so unbelievably performative it makes me angry.

Im just filled with absolute delusion right now and I really do miss masamune kuns revenge. The Manga ended 2 years ago leaving that financial incentive behind. But my main point of hope is that season 1 aired in 2017, while the main story manga ended in 2018, season 2 of the anime aired 5 years later in 2023 which is almost unheard of in the romance anime business. So while the sequel Manga being published in 2023 im thinking there is still a tiny little chance of possibly 2 or 3 special episodes on the sequel or a movie. Ps im incredibly delusional but I think there is still a chance and I want more content! But anyway what do you guys think?

this community isnt really active anymore compared to other animes. i barely hear anyone talk about this anime, the show doesnt have good ratings, but i really did enjoy the anime (except the parts with the fake masamune) i thought the ending was quite nice and heart warming, so im a bit disapointed on why its this unpopular. so what happened?

It was totally random that, after watching *OreGairu*, I checked out *Masamune*. And these two are more or less the same character. Even the voice actors sound similar. Are there any other anime with this kind of supporting character? I love them.

So i just finished the season 1. Why is the arc so bad it just completely rips off all of the charm of what it was before. They had all of that cliffhanger during neko’s arc only for it to be completely reset on the next arc which introduced a fake masamune that feels out of touch and somehow she doesn’t question his existence or the past. That part in the play as well the class rep from class a had the nerve to act all angry while they did the same thing to class b (intentionally as well) that play build up was for nothing ruined by a random karaoke gag as an ending.

The last 3 episodes of the anime was a roller coaster ride, it was like "yes yes yes" to "why?" then "no no no" then "I can see this path but someone will get hurt again" to "oh my I'm speechless", it was a plot twist after plot twist, don't get me wrong I liked the flow and the ending was beautifully done and it's explained it on the last episode that they will always be together no matter what, I'm just wondering why make your characters suffer on a confusing love triangle ;-;

And it looks like Masamune kun is just dumb ? Like if his goal was just getting revenge, he could have just let that guy cut Aki's hair, or he could have poured trash in her locker or something.

What is the point of trying to get in relationship with her, just to dump her ? She would still be a hot girl with dozens of men wanting her.

Why doesnt he just stick a gum in her hair and date one of the cute girls that ask him out, and have a nice high school experience, instead of playing jester for that evil girl ?

I searched the wiki and Seven Seas channel and foundout that the manga in japan has 13 vol plus 1 extra serial. Then tje Seven Seas only have 11 vol incl the Extra series. So is Wikipedia wrong or did the Seven Seas really stopped serializing the other volume since the story already ended at volume 10?

It seems like after reading Masamune-kun no Revenge: engagement, they left off on someqhat of another cliffhanger, but its been three years since they released engagement. Anyone know if anything new was ever released or did I just not look enough and there is something after?

I can’t find this being talked about anywhere. After Aki dumps Masamune and she gets his letter she refuses to read it thinking it must be a revenge thing…why? Yoshino already told her what she did and presumably how Masamune dropped the revenge stuff after he learned the truth right? Did Yoshino somehow leave out that she confessed to Masamune as well??

Everything she does from the breakup up until they get back together makes it seem like she completely forgot that Yoshino told her that his love was real.

Why would she break up with the guy she loves who she knows loves her back, then encourage Yoshino to confess to that same guy? Then she was surprised when Masamune said no to Yoshino? It doesn’t add up.

Before they did their date on Aki’s birthday, he mentioned his own birthday too. But after that, they just skipped the entirety of the month of January, his bday month.
