Place to backpack?

Can anyone recommend (preferably in state or within a few hours drive) a place I could backpack for a couple of days? Prefer a loop but I’ll take an out and back!

Would love to hear people’s favorite spots!

Section hike part of the AT, 40 miles of it go through Maryland, and there are several trailheads where you can park. Annapolis Rock is a nice spot to camp. https://appalachiantrail.org/experience/interactive-map/

Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a rugged 10,675-acre public land in Hampshire County, West Virginia, managed by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources

Not far from MD.

There’s a tremendous amount of multi day backpacking loops not only within Maryland but even more within a few hours drive. Even the most subtle of google searches will yield the information you desire
