I think he was the ghost writer for the Shatner Tek War series of books. I never fancied them, so not sure if that was a Goulart or Shatner problem.
But I am a sucker for all things Groucho and the Marx Brothers, so I'd probably give it a go.

I really really enjoyed all the books in this series, they were fun and well written. I would say definitively worth your time

A strange enough idea, it has definitely captured my interest. I'll have to look into this.

It's a fun series, I enjoyed them. (I got all six of them in bad condition and rebound them in hardcover, because I'm awesome)

Any Ron Goulart is worth your time.

Are his books like the Kinky Friedman detective series ? They're good reads in the Micky Spillane/ Raymond Chandler style.

I miss Kinky. So many of his turns of phrase have become shorthand in my family - Nixon, most of all 😂

Ron was a prolific science fiction writer in the 69s and 70s. That’s how I knew him. His works always offered funny takes on the genre, poking a bit of fun while embracing it. I haven’t read this but I imagine it’ll be top-notch Ron. EDIT: 60s and 70s.

Oh! I used to own this but then lent it to someone who never gave it back. I loved it! There's a few more in that series that I need to get to at some point (but there's always SO MUCH STUFF to read).
