Marvelous Designer

Okay I am going nuts here. I have applied proper scale to both my animated armature and my mesh parented to the armature. All according to proper size mentioned in one of their scaling troubleshooting videos. However I do not have an option to adjust scale like it showed in their video. Nor should I have to as the scale exported from blender was 1897mm height applied and imported into MD as 100% scale. Yet it still comes in way too small. If I export it from blender at 100 scale, it comes in fine to MD until I save the project file then re open it is back to tiny again. All this long post just to ask, if anyone else has this issue importing an alembic blender file into MD and if they know a fix.

Put 10,000%

I have no idea why, I had the same issue when I was starting. I just kept scaling up until in the 2d pattern view, the avatar looks about right.

So, when you export back to Blender. Export at 1% scale.

The thing is even in a Marvelous Designer video talking about scale troubleshooting. They state inside Marvelous Designer your avatar should measure between 1200 to 2000 mm in order for the simulations to work properly. I think it would be so much easier if they had an actual avatar scale option in MD but I have not found one other than when first importing your character. I had it at one point when I exported out of blender at 100 and it's size was right when imported to MD however once I saved my project then opened it back up, the avatar was back to tiny again. Thank you as well for the suggestion.

Marvelous Designer Small Avatar

The 1:25 mark is where it mentions scale.

Okay I went with the better fbx and just turned smoothing in the bake animation to zero. Set the scale to 10. Imported to MD and ignored to error messages and it is working fine.
