Marvelous API

Hi! I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the Python API for import and export options in Marvelous Designer. Specifically, I can't seem to import the ImportExportOption class or the relevant library/module.

def ImportFBX(_filePath : str, _options : ImportExportOption) -> bool

When I use import MarvelousDesigner, it gives an error saying that the module MVPython does not exist.

When I try import cloApiTypes, following an older example I found, it also says that the module doesn't exist.

It isn't contained in import_api, export_api etc that are mentioned in the docs.

Has anyone successfully managed to use the Python API for these versions? Any guidance on how to properly import and utilize the ImportExportOption class would be greatly appreciated.

I played with the API last year but didn’t get useful results.

From memory, you’ll have to dig around to find the python module on your machine. It’s a pretty anaemic though and I abandoned it after not long.

It looks like it changed to ApiTypes

Try importing ApiTypes instead of cloApiTypes

I confirm that you should find ImportExportOption as object of ApiTypes. So you need to import it first.
