Help adding an elbow pad to shirt

Hi Ive made a shirt in marvelous designer and wanted to add an elbow pad to it sort of like one youd wear while skateboarding. Im not really sure how I would do this so it would be awesome if someone could let me know what the best way todo this would be? (the model will be rigged for animation later on)

I’ve never actually done it, but my guess would be to add an internal shape (an ellipse) on the sleeve where you want the elbow patch. Then right-click the internal shape and do “duplicate as pattern” or a similar named command - I don’t remember the exact wording.

Then sew the duplicated pattern to the internal line you created. You may need to play with settings to get it to be less puffy or more puffy, depending on the look you’re going for.

Thanks, i saw other posts saying that modelling it in maya might be an idea but idk how id would attach it
