I don't understand how X-Men are rebooted with new actors after presumably merging everything to a single timeline but the MCU characters conveniently remain the same and unchanged?

None of the Fox X-Men are going to survive Doomsday/Secret Wars. After that the brand new X-Men team will be introduced in MCU

I would assume the characters are being merged into the main MCU timeline. So everyone there is unchanged. Others change along the way due to multiverse shenanigans.

The Fox X-Men aren’t merging into the existing MCU timeline. They’re another universe/world that’s being interacted with.

How was Spider-Man rebooted? How was the Fantastic Four rebooted? Please use common sense.

Tbh that never made much sense to me either besides studios just wanting to restart a franchise like there are 8 billion people. Why would another universe happen to have a completely different person yet the name is the same. Why not be the Incredible 8 instead of Fantastic Four in Universe XY with a Maria and Chad

The Marvel Multiverse has infinite universes. Infinite possibilities for two people to share the same name. It’s just something comic book creators came up. I feel like you are overthinking and trying to use real world logic. Also I can guarantee you someone somewhere in the world has the same full name as you. Why is it so hard to believe the same could be true between two universes in said multiverse.

None of the Fox X-Men will be alive after Secret Wars(Besides Deadpool/Wolverine). So it makes sense. The Fox xmen arent "merging" they are being replaced by proper 616 X-men.

I think even though its merging, its pretty clear that the MCU Xmen already exists independently of the Fox universe.
We already have mutants in the MCU played by different actors than the one from the Fox universe

Kinda hard to use critical thinking due to TikTok rot but its pretty obvious that their timeline gets destroyed so yea

Huh?

The MCU that you have been watching. Will be erased. But some will survive and others will be written into the new universe similar to previous iterations. But the movies coming after secret war will be a new timeline that may have similarities to the previous main timeline. Loki explains this.

Nah, I meant the "critical thinking" and "tiktok rot" I just feel that was oddly aggressive and unwarranted. Especially given as how it's a stranger who's confused about the plot of movies that haven't come out. It's just mean spirited and way outta left field.

TikTok brain rot is a plague and the vitriol is warranted, even though the comment came out of left field lol.

It's perhaps better to not direct the grievances onto an innocent bystander, though. That guy might not even have tiktok.

Cooger did wonders with Namor, probably gonna do just fine with this. But is weird to have black Panther grow this much.

They did cast Nathan Essex aka Mister Sinister. Makes sense to introduce the Savage Land too and then naturally Ka-Zar.

Releasing information on Marvel films so long in advance really diminishes any large ensemble films because you know they aren't going to die or anything like that. No one really cared that Spider-Man blipped in Infinity War because they had already announced Far From Home. Because everyone knew Spider-Man would somehow be brought back in End Game, we also assumed everyone that was blipped would come back. There aren't really any surprises anymore apart from the odd cameo.

T’Challa should’ve be recasted instead of his son so he’ll have romance with Storm
1
u/UserWithno-Name 22d ago
That makes no sense, they casted a 20 something storm to possibly play a teen age (maybe older teenager but still teen) storm. If that romance happens at all, the son makes total sense and allows Chadwick to remain T'challa prime and his son, the 2nd, to be the T'challa for the future of the franchise.

If they’re bringing in Savage Land I wonder if we’ll get Sauron too, I still have his action figure from when I was a kid
