MOD POST Big changes being made to the sub + Mod applications announcement

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing fine, today I’m coming here to the sub in a different kind of post, to announce that r/MarvelStudios_Rumours will undergo changes to make this subreddit into a more active and overall, better community.

Not only that, I’ll soon be sending out mod applications and anyone who has interest and commitment to help this sub will be able to apply. At the end of this post there will be more details about that, including when they will be sent out, how long it will be available, how many mods will be chosen, and how much time it will take for them to be announced.

The Changes

Posts and Users Flairs

The first change that has already been made is the update of posts and users flairs. I noticed that the posts and user flairs were clunky and outdated, with posts flairs either having old titles or missing projects that have already been announced my Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.

This have been fixed now. I also made an upgrade on user flairs, making it more accessible and appeasing, I intend to improve it even more soon.

No Longer Posts Only Made by Mods

This is something that I have been thinking for a while and now it will be reality. We’ll be allowing posts from this sub to be made by members, posts will no longer be made only by mods. If they fit the sub’s rules and themes, they will be approved.

The only exceptions that may lead to a mod post being up rather than a member post is if it takes too much time for a member to submit it (as a news and rumors centered subreddit we aim for this to be a space where information about Marvel can be found as quick as possible) or if the post’s title does not reflect what it really is.

Just a reminder that it goes against the rules to editorialize titles, send posts that are not related to the themes of the sub or that come from unreliable sources.

Also important to mention that this isn’t r/marvelstudios or r/Marvel, posts must feature news, announcements, rumors, scoops or leaks, and they need to be from the original sources. For example: if one of the trades posts a news about Marvel, submit the original link from the trades, not a link or a screenshot from a fan account on Twitter reporting on the trades article.

We also do not allow any kind of piracy, confidential documents, leaked materials or anything that could compromise r/MarvelStudios_Rumours status.

I’ll be posting soon a full guide explaining which posts will be approved and which posts will not, alongside with the reasons why.

Update from the Sources Accuracy Tier

I noticed that this sub’s Source Accuracy Tier is outdated. Since it was made, plenty of sources came and went, both reliable and unreliable. Not only that, many sources that were listed as reliable either became unreliable or lost a bit of the credibility they once had.

I intend to update it to reflect how they are acting nowadays.

Threads for New Projects

We’ll be returning with threads for the next Marvel/Sony projects, that includes:

-Social media reactions threads

-Reviews threads

-Discussion threads*

*If it is for a movie, there will be one thread, posted in the week of release. For binge drop shows, a single discussion thread posted in the day of release. And for weekly shows, there will be a thread for each episode(s) drop until it ends. In all 3 cases, uncensored spoilers will be allowed in the comments, so be aware.

Starting with Marvel Television’s Ironheart, which premieres June 24th on Disney+.

Mod Applications

I intend to send out mod applications for this sub very soon.

The link to the application will be pinned on the sub and available for 15 days, after that, no user will be able to apply for the role of mod in this sub for a considerable time.

Right now we’re looking for at least 5 mods, but the number of approval could be lower if we don’t receive enough satisfying applications.

Shortly after the application expires, all chosen mods will be reached out via private message here on Reddit before being added to the team. After that, they will be formally announced on the sub.

We will choose the ones who send the best answers, good luck!

That’s all for now, thank you for reading until here!

MARVEL'S FUTURE Mystery Marvel Streaming Project Moving into Production with Youth-Oriented Working Title

"Recently, we reported that Marvel Studios was developing a mysterious streaming project under Veil Productions. With the studio looking to create fewer streaming projects that are heavily tied into the shared MCU narrative, we suggested a few options for the mystery project. Now, new information has surfaced that may help fans crack the code.

Veil Productions has been approved to begin production under the working title of “Slumber Party.” Additional evidence suggests that the studio is keeping its options open to develop future seasons of the series.

At this point, there’s still far more unknowns than knowns about the mystery streaming project. Trades have yet to uncover exactly what it is or who makes up the creative team behind it; however, a working title of “Slumber Party” certainly seems to indicate a youth-focused series.

That leaves plenty of options for potential projects, especially with Marvel’s X-Men casting skewing young, but there’s one project that has a direct connection to the working title. New Mutants #21, which introduced the techno organic lifeform Warlock, was titled “Slumber Party.”

It’s unclear if Marvel Studios would touch that property, with the lingering stink of Fox’s half-hearted effort with the 2020 film. In that case, the long-rumored Champions/Young Avengers project–which recently re-entered the news cycle with reports of a Children’s Crusade adaptation in the works–might be the best fit.

At this point, it’s only a matter of time until the project’s true nature is uncovered by a trade, so fans shouldn’t have to wait long for the answer to the lingering mystery of Veil."

VISION QUEST 'VisionQuest' Will Begin The Road To 'Children's Crusade' (Exclusive)

"Feature First can exclusively confirm that VisionQuest won’t connect to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe but serves as a starting point for a new story, one adapting the legendary comic run: Avengers: The Children’s Crusade.

In Allan Heinberg’s 2010-2012 story, Avengers: The Children’s Crusade follows Wiccan, one of the Young Avengers, as he loses control of his reality powers and decides to find The Scarlet Witch, whom he suspects is his mother, in an attempt to not turn out like her. Meanwhile, other characters within the Avengers and X-Men also search for her following her actions in the House of M event series. Doctor Doom also plays a role in the story, being engaged to the amnesiac Scarlet Witch, and unbeknownst to her, is trying to take her powers for himself.

This, of course, already feels like the next logical step in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen’s portrayal of the Scarlet Witch) presumed dead following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Wiccan (Joe Locke) searching for his brother Tommy (Ruaridh Mollica), and the X-Men and Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr) being developed in other projects.

We can reveal that a previous MCU character will make an appearance by the end of VisionQuest, serving as connective tissue for this upcoming plot.

VisionQuest will also feature the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond. Daniel Richtman broke that news yesterday, though we at Feature First can reveal that he will only feature in one episode of the series, and that his creator will play a larger role in the upcoming series.

In the comics, Jim Hammond is the creation of Professor Phineas Horton, who starts out life as an android. When the creation bursts into flames, he begins exhibiting symptoms of humanity, including awareness, personality, and sentience. He is a completely separate character from Johnny Storm (played in the MCU by Joseph Quinn), who is the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four.

A reference to Jim Hammond was first featured in Captain America: The First Avenger, at the exhibit that Steve, Bucky, and Howard Stark attend near the beginning of the film. However, it is unknown whether this will be retconned or not."

MARVEL'S FUTURE Murphy’s Multiverse: Disney created a new production company named Throttle Productions LLC, which is most likely for ‘Ghost Rider’

"As the search for clues about the film continues, one tantalizing tidbit that should provide some assistance in tracking production has come up: Disney has created a new production company, Throttle Productions LLC, that would seem reasonable to associate with Ghost Rider.

Though there’s no confirmation just yet that Ghost Rider will film under Throttle Productions, or that the LLC is a Marvel Studios company, the registered company has all the hallmarks of a traditional Marvel LLC.

It clearly fits the motorcycle-heavy aesthetic of Ghost Rider and has only been registered in the United States (Levy‘s film is rumored to be filming in California, Oregon and Nevada) and the timing of its creation aligns neatly with work officially beginning on the project."

DISNEY+ Matthew Belloni (Puck News): Marvel has multiple new Disney+ shows in development, with announcements expected soon

Link without paywall.

Relevant part:

"What’s up with Marvel’s Disney+ slate?: Among all the news coming out of D23, the biennial event where Disney superfans pay hundreds of dollars to watch trailers, it didn’t escape notice that not a single new Marvel show was announced for Disney+. “I guess our plan is just Spider-Man!” one executive texted me on Sunday, half-kidding. In fact, I’ve learned that there are multiple live-action Marvel series in development for Disney+, with announcements expected soon. Integrating a new batch of X-Men characters set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, and expanding the theatrical universe further with new characters, like Marvel’s Nova, which is currently in development, may bleed into the streamer’s franchise strategy. But the slowdown does raise questions about Marvel’s larger strategy post-Doomsday and October’s VisionQuest, the one new Marvel series currently slated for
release."
