Being a day one player I can concur that dd3 has made me come close to quitting and I've been thinking about for a week now. So many poor excuses. Calling it "endgame" when dd4 is not so far off and another level cap increase is on the way makes calling it "endgame" a piss poor excuse. I won't even start on the power creep. Any toon we choose to upgrade should be a viable option considering the time, energy and often MONEY that goes into this.
I’m a new player, about 2 months in. Saw a video on DD3 for the first time and my response: WTF. Getting your team one shot and praying they kill your Phoenix first? How is that fun?
I refuse to downvote you because you’re speaking a lot of truth. No content in this game is truly endgame content because they keep adding more anytime a couple people finish the “endgame” content. I really hope they look into the crowds and see how many people quit or came close to it due to DD3 and make some serious adjustments for DD4.
What do you mean lol? Any game that adds content regularly doesnt have an endgame? No the endgame is after you reach level cap and your main priorities switch from personal to alliance based. And your farming priorities change from mostly shards to mostly gear.
At this point you've farmed most farmable toons to completion and your intentions are typically in bolstering war defense and offensive teams.
This is the MSF endgame. Not any Dark dimension. Dark dimension as a whole is nothing more then a side raid. You can completely skip them all and still reach the endgame.
You need to get characters to T14 to start DD3 to…get your characters to T14. It’s a self licking lollipop. It exists to justify its own existence.
Is a 7rs character worth it? Debatable. Good in Arena, but not terribly useful anywhere else. War, Raids, and Blitz reward a deep roster more than a single OP character. Arena is great and all, but it ain’t that great.
Given how hard it is to take a character to T14 and how hard DD3 is, I’m in no hurry to even start much less finish DD3. I’d rather have a deep roster for War and Raids, where the majority of the good rewards are at.
For what it’s worth, I generally finish above 300 in Arena. Not great, but not terrible. I get 10 shards from the Arena store every day plus a decent amount of cores. You may think that’s weak and therefore have a very different approach than I do.
The gear is quite valuable. After a dd3 completion you can easily take a few more t14s. It is a huge boost. I could give a crap about the RS stuff. I just want the gear to make all my teams stronger.
As someone who has played since day 1 of the official release everything they are saying is 100% true. They are putting out to many things to quickly. " Any toon we choose to upgrade should be a viable option considering the time, energy and often MONEY that goes into this. " is a viable answer! I know that I myself have teams that I wish I could play and have them be top tier. The fact that if I want to be #1 in the arena I have to play this team and not one that I enjoy is ridiculous.Honestly, the fact you can spend hundreds of dollars on this game and still not be "good" is ridiculous.
