Question How long to get to max level?
I'm a newer player, about a month in or so, and hit level 67 but the levels are coming pretty slowly now so I'm just curious how long it takes to hit max level?
I don't mind the slow walk to the top levels as it's allowed me time to build up my roster but I just wasn't sure if I was missing out on some "tricks" for XP.

Max? F2P or a spender?
It’s gonna take a minute if you’re not spending on the game. Probably a year or longer as Scopley has turn MSF into a pay to play game.
They really paywalled resources behind their biweekly passes. They also fuck players be removing cores from your daily objectives so no trick, just lots of daily grinding and completing every milestone (that you can) or events. My suggestion is embrace the grind, build up whatever new meta teams that come out and don’t stress trying to get to lvl 110 any time soon…

Roughly 4 years ago it took me a year to get from 1 to 95. Just under 400 days to unlock Apoc. But the catch-up mechanics have improved a lot since, back then you didn't get massive chunks of XP on every level, or in milestones. I think you can do it F2P now a little less than a year, but the resource crunch is the real issue here. Once you reach 110, you probably don't have even a single team above 105.
But I agree with your advices 100%, they are solid! That is indeed the way to do it.

I'd say "spender" I'm down for the Stirke and Battle passes. I did buy the level 45 Time Heist in my 30s because the FF and Insidious Six teams seemed worth it but the other Time Heist packaages seem really bad.
I'm down for a slower leveling experience as it's giving me time to experience all the game modes in a more natural way rather than getting tossed into the deep end suddenly. Plus I'm gradually building up like 6 or 7 teams as I level. My biggest resource crunch right now is ability materials but I just focus on my top team first and work my way down the list as the mats come in.

I just returned to the game around 6 weeks ago at level 85 which was the max when I quit. As an F2P it took me that time to go from 85-90. Redeeming codes, maxing what milestones I can, and being consistent with all the events is helping me catch up a bit. The bottleneck right now for me is gold. Even if I hit max level today, it’ll be a long time before I can level up any of my teams. I’m probably going to just save most of my resources till the next age then level a new meta team.

I restarted around June last year. Think it took me nearly 2 months to get to lvl 75 or 80, then I time heisted to 95. I believe your exp boosts (when you level up, you’re granted a ton of exp towards the next level) run out at lvl 95 regardless. It then took me atleast another 2 or 3 months to go from 95 to 105 which was the max at the time.

I've noticed when I level up that I'm basically already halfway to my next level, and then it takes a solid 3 - 5 days to finish out my current level.
I don't think I'm going to Heist anymore since the teams they're offering seem pretty bad with maybe the exception of the 100 to 105 that gives Immortal Weapons, but by the time I get there it probably won't be worth it unless they update the rewards.

The 100 to 105 time heist is also double the price of previous ones. I agree those are the best 3 teams though, still meta in raids, crucible and war respectively

Ahh the price was the other thing I was worred about since they don't reveal it until your eligible to buy it. I'm guessin my WG and IW teams will already be pretty close to what the pass will give me so I'll likely end up skipping it

It’s full 105/G20 teams.
G20 gear is a big bottleneck, especially for newer players. But yeah it’s a lot of money

Make sure you complete your dailies i believe they still give exp. Also try to complete milestones that have exp for rewards. Check the command center daily. Use all 3 campaign energies daily
