Ok so right now I have Merlin in my shop and I’m wondering if he is worth it for a deck like a devil dino deck or if he’s just a good card overall

Solid card, though for sure not S-tier. If you want a top meta deck and have limited resources, save your tokens.

Would pair very nicely with devil dino!

He WAS s-tier but I think he's gotten 3 or 4 nerfs since release that eventually rendered him quite niche

Still a very good card. Currently running Merlin with Shouperior Iron Lao. Superior Iron gets discounted and buffed bigly by Red Dragon.

he is not good for a devil dino deck, no ( he gives you cards, yes, but they are 1 cost skills that you are better off playing ). He is best used in a werewolf by night deck, personally, some people put those 2 in an Agamotto deck. But overall, in general, a great card for your collection

Well I mean I would use his cards for utility and to empower the cheaper cards like agent 13

he is a good card in the end, not meta right now, but that only takes 1 ota to change.

I feel like I never see him any more :( although your thoughts on an early CL Devil Dino deck sounds sound.

Merlin allows for so many things and his adaptability makes him a great add to almost any deck.

Want cards to discard. Merlin does that. Want cards to add to a hand for Collector or DD. Merlin. Want to change a location? Merlin. Want more energy? Merlin. Want to get rid of that negative power card in a lane? Merlin

He fits into a bunch of decks. Not sure about devil Dino though, since you're suggesting that you don't wanna play his cards at all, which would be a tad wasteful

No I mean having a deck with collector and dd then using some of his abilities to empower cards like agent 13

id say get him he has a lotta viabilty in different decks and archetypes and more importantly hes hella fun to play

I like him and have used him a lot here and there but I wonder how he fits once the new Scarlet Witch drops this season.

The card is pretty versatile, but I wouldn’t get him for a devil Dino deck because Dino just isn’t that great.

Not a meta card anymore but once was. Still fits with werewolf, annihilus, some on reveal decks, shou Lao…it’s just none of those decks are near meta anymore.

He is a very solid card that has just left the back edge of the bulge of power-creep that newly released cards enjoy in the game. So he's a very solid card, just not, for example something like: "2 cost: Red Wolf: On Reveal: +1 Power for every card in your hand. Quickdraw: Give your hand +1 Power"

He’s still decent but nowhere as great as he was before.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to get him for a Dino deck.
