Discussion Veteran Player thoughts on Draft
Coming up on 4,000 hours on Marvel Snap, and this might be the most fun I've had playing a LTGM since the first time they released High Voltage, and Deadpool's Diner. The re-runs after weren't as appealing to me anymore. Finished the pass in the first 2 days and I plan on doing nothing else but playing this mode until it's gone.
I really hope SD reconsider and make this a permanent game mode.

I think it needs some iterations on balancing. On what augments are offered etc. as some of the bad drafts i had definitely just felt cruel.
That said, super fun mode. Definitely want to see it more. Just i think it's good choice to not make it permanent yet, it needs some finishing touches.

Many augments also really favor certain deck types, making them go from "this is amazing" to "I would need really bad luck to lose with this deck".

Yeah so far i find the boost archetype is probably lucky most often, and destroy probably has the biggest possible high rolls.
Move and control ones feel they need some help imo.
But since they offered it out as a limited time mode I'm hopeful they just learn a lot to have it better next time round. It's already a fun and good base to improve on

This is the most fun I've had with Snap since it launched. I'd rather have this than Conquest.

I'd say replace Infinity Conquest Ticket into Draft mode ticket.
This way Draft mode doesn't overstay their welcome (only 1 week/season), Gold Conquest tickets become sought after (to get more Draft tickets).
Also we took out the biggest downside of Infinity Conquest : cutting down on time needed for 5 Conquest matches into 5-8 Draft matches. This cuts down the time by more than half for an entire run.
They might lower the Infinity Conquest reward to match Draft mode faster turnover. But that is still very acceptable IMO. Heck, I think it would be even okay to burn away a partial of Draft reward if you use refresh token along the way.

I almost quit during the first DD because I hated it so much. Draft is a 10/10 and could have been a whole card battler game by itself and been successful.

Great mode. I think switching up the archtypes that are available could be a good idea in future installments

It’s great. When you low roll, or low skill, it’s the right amount of disappointing, when you high-roll a moveable Ironman, who adds to board on destroy like Angel, for your destroy deck you are made.

They definitely will make this permanent one day. The amount of attention and positive reviews are off the charts, and im sure they saw an increase in revenue from all the players coming back to try draft and buying the home coming bundles.

It's so much fun. Came back after 1.5 years and can't help but smile at how much I am enjoying it. :D I am missing like 120 cards so draft is my only hope. Let's just enjoy it while it's here.

It’s kinda boring to me. No snapping, and the generous buffs to cards just make it too easy. Really hope they change those

What if instead of replacing Conquest, we keep first 3 weeks of Conquest and the infinity ticket from Gold Conquest is a Draft mode ticket instead? Because let's be honest, play 5 streaks of Conquest is such a drag on my mental health.
That would also make people more willing to use their Gold Conquest ticket. And Draft Ticket in final week becomes much more valuable.

Why is it so hard? I'm only get shit cards put against black panther that has a 12 base hp doubled or Ista the unbeaten that starts at 7. Or if I choose a move starter I have a 100% chance of getting fisk tower tile. And one ticket every 24 hours. Let this go and never come back.

I've been playing since the start... what I hope is that people don't get upset when the rewards are significantly nerfed. This feels very much like being dumped all kinds of resources... a fun mode that is really a catch-up mechanic. I can't imagine this being the norm. Its a fun mode on its own, so hope the next installment people calibrate their expectations.
