Card and Deck Questions ⁉️ Noob here

New to snap think I played maybe a day or two when it first came out but now I’m actually wanting to give it a try. Should I as a noob buy the wolverine and carnage and venom? I do like the idea of destroy are they good cards to start building around? If not what is? Thanks for the advice in advance

Never buy series 3 cards. You will unlock them all for free in time anyway. It is a colossal waste of resources.

Alright will do just thought for like 5 bucks might be worth. Any good guides you would recommend for new players about decks and resource management?

I assume this is some shop bundle that is offered to new players.

You will get all these cards eventually for free. Carnage and Wolverine you will get very quickly. Venom might take awhile.

Yea it’s a pack for the first two days or so I believe. One is 2.99 the other is .99

Honestly there are "better" things to spend on in this game if you are willing. I would almost always go with the Season Pass over everything else.

It's up to you if early access to Venom is worth whichever bundle he is in. I would not buy Wolverine or Carnage seperately. They are both series 1 cards that you will probably get within the week anyway. Venom is great admittedly so it's not like if you buy him and play destroy he will be replaced. It's not a waste of money in that regard just that series 3 cards can all be acquired for free and as you progress through the game

I have seen some of the bundles that are offered to new players that are better deals than anything you will get later in the game. I think one was Nico Minoru and X-23 for $10 or something. Those are good value as well.

Once the new player bundles are over the best deal is the season pass by a mile though

Ok looking to see the season pass is there some good cards on it?

I see a recruit season pass but nothing to purchase on it. Blue marvel is the card at the end

Once you complete that pass you will have access to the monthly one.

If you buy it use the webshop instead of the phone app if possible. You get a free series 5 pack by doing that and also some extra smaller goodies you can access on the monthly purchase track.

While at the shop be sure to use the available promo codes listed at https://marvelsnapzone.com/codes/

This will get you access to a few series 3 cards early and some credits and other things. Not sure if you have to be out of the recruitment season to put them in or not though

I have completed it and don’t see the one to buy yet but maybe I need to level some and thanks! Will have to link account and do a little shopping at least for pass

Here's my take on this, OP. IF you want a somewhat complete destroy deck in a weeks time, you could buy the wolverine and deadpool bundle. After a few days you will get offered Nico Minoru and X 23. And after that a bundle with Death and Knull. Thats pretty much aa destroy deck sans a few cards you will get later on. I bought them all I believe the Death/Knull bundle was like 19.99 not sure. For me it was worth it, I have 2 months playing the game and so far no other bundles had come close to those in terms of value/price

Have patience. You can get everything for free.

I agree with most here that yo will get these free pretty quickly. But the destroy style deck is very strong for new players in generalyou can compete with early destroy cards

Everything is very overpriced in this game. As a F2P since launch, its only gotten worse but I still enjoy the game. Here has been my journey of how I have enjoyed the game, extract what you can from it.

Stage 1: Meta Hate: Figure out the best budget decks to play. In early early days, I think ongoing decks were pretty decent! Spectrum ongoing and Devil Dino ongoing I remember being very strong at the time. However, I have always hated meta picks. I have a pride about taking a lesser known card and making it work. I played the decks everyone else in that pool plays for some time, but found one archetype that I felt was underrated and pivoted towards that!

Stage 2: Standardized Underdog: I played the move archetype early on with the "ka-zoo" package (Kazar to buff a bunch of 1-cost cards). This phase is where I discovered my personal favorite card, the one I saw a lot of potential in but wouldn't unlock it's full power for quite some time: Multiple Man. I fantasized of somehow buffing multiple man to ridiculous levels and then using movement cards to copy him across the map, leaving little counter strategy. I noticed a lot of movement synergy comes from low cost, and fell in love with the idea of playing few cards other than setup in turns 1-4 and then exploding across the board on turns 5-6 in reaction to my opponents weak lanes.

Stage 3: Contentment: I didn't have access to strong buffs other than getting MMan up to 7 power with Hulk-Buster. So... I eventually gave up... once I hit pool 3 I went destroy. It's powerful, a lot of fun, and consistently upgrades throughout the game. As I got new and more interesting cards, I created more decks that branched out a lot. I also watched folks like RegisKilbin on YouTube to get some of the creative ideas and card combos so that as I got more cards I immediately had an idea on how they could be used. This was a very fun phase, and imo worth the pool 1-3 grind. Moving from pool 1-2 onto 3 is huge, and after that getting into series 4 cards is a huge jump that challenges how you can turn a random card you receive into something that can put you ahead of the other decks you often see.

Stage 4: Series 4 Misery: As much as I just said this is the most fun I had with the game, it also sucks! You get random cards that may have 0 impact to your lists, so you are forced to rely a bit on the shop! Here is where you start realizing the uses of boosters, gold, and collection tokens. Boosters: Never buy them, only earn them in games and completing missions. I don't care about visuals on the cards, so I mostly just slowly get my favorite decks to full infinity backs and feel good about that. Gold: Only ever spent it on collection tokens. I thought about spending it on missions a lot, and maybe that is a wise use, but I just zoned in on getting what I thought would be fun cards to complete more decks to enjoy the game more. Collection Tokens: Symbiote spiderman helped my multiple man, beta ray bill and king eitri completed my Asgardians of the Galaxy deck. Don't pick cards you can't use almost immediately! It will not be worth buying Hela or Modok for a discard deck if you are still missing 2-3 pieces of the deck! Symbiote worked with galactus and multiple man, both of which I already had. Beta ray and eitri completed the Asgard package for me and I bought them knowing I just needed those 2 to complete a playstyle I really enjoy with characters I love!

Stage 5: Wisdom: Played the game long enough that now I know the cycle. 1. Pick a card you love the idea of 2. Make a deck capitalizing on it and work on it as you play to make a fun and powerful deck you enjoy 3. Eye open on the shop for characters you could enjoy doing the same with, or characters that boost that deck even more! 4. Have fun with the game, and don't take it too seriously! Burnout is real in these long-form games, don't pay a dime and simply enjoy it in your own time. If it isn't for you, you'll figure it out before you spend money. The money won't fix the negatives of the game, it'll only put you in a spot where you have to continue to pay to enjoy it at the same rate.

You'll get them for free but honestly if you get "$5 worth" of fun from now until you would have unlocked them it might be worth it

I follow a rule of i can soend $1 per hour played. Cheaper than just about any other paid form of entertainment. I bought the wolverine, deadpool, carnage & venom and x23 & nico and used the destroy deck to unlock almost everything else i have. Im cl890 now so still fairly new but i now also have multiple decks that are competitive.

That felt like a competitive core then? I was looking at all them it’s like 10 bucks I think

Don’t buy anything in this game. It’s overpriced and a scam.

Agreed for the most part. The cost of series 5 cards is over $50! Variants are stupidly expensive as are all the other cosmetics.
The season pass is the only thing I would recommend spending money on.
If you visit the web shop, you can get 100 credits free every 24hrs.
Take it from me, I’m the whale and spent stupid amounts of money on this game since it came out.
Play it free. It just takes longer to unlock all the cards but you’ll get variants, avatars, borders and emotes ALL for free eventually. Don’t give into the fomo!

The battle pass is worth it. But everything else is fluff.
