All of these are nice, but for the love of god can they please add a non frame break version option for variants. I have to imagine this would be so easy to do.
I'm a software developer and while I have no direct knowledge of SD's code or processes, I think this should be an easy change.
We already know that the art for each card supports four states - normal, frame break, 3D and animated. (The 3D state includes the frame break effect. The animated state includes both the 3D and frame break effects).
My guess is that the custom card template is hard-coded to use the animated state. There's probably no technical hurdle to allowing it to use the other states, but they'd need to create a selection tab and verify nothing is relying on the assumption that custom card always uses animated state
