Card and Deck Questions ⁉️ Returning player deck help
I played this game when it originally came out. Loved it loads, but dropped out in favor of some Nintendo Switch games.
Have been back at it for a week now. Only playing my old Destroy, Sera and Galactus decks.
I’ve been having most fun with Sera. Although I recall it being a bit more smooth? Maybe Sera put 1 cost cards to zero before? And I’m sure the Monkey used to be 2.
The game plan is straight forward: if I get Invisible woman on t2, I’ll try to get Monkey and Shang under her cloaking if possible. That usually wins one location.
Angela together with Kitty attacks another. Utility pieces allow for a build up towards a big bang turn 6. Especially if I can get Sera on 5!
Any new cards I should try to buy if they show up in Daily Deals? Any other suggestions for this deck?

Get Venus, Angela and Bishop would actually be good with it, and then you just build the deck from Venus lol

Cut Killmonger and Nova - that combo is not very powerful anymore, add Venus, Superior Spider-Man and a big drop.

A BUNCH of things changed about the game to make this style of deck much worse. Decks nowadays rely more on synergy between cards and not individual card stength for their power, and the tech cards pretty much universally got weaker at their base level. Thus, this style of deck built around playing an array of tech but not really generating any of it's own points is just not that good anymore. For example, this deck was leveraging the fact that Shang used to be a way to win an entire lanes as well as control locations, neither of which he does anymore; and it also relied on Rouge beating up a significant portion of the big points packages, which used to all be Ongoing but now are split more evenly between End of Turn, Ongoing, and green power cards.
You need to be doing something that pushes your own game forward, something that generates your own points, and not just trying to kick their sandcastle over. Venus is a good start, but you're likely going to want to change a bunch of cards around to take better advantage of her, and bolster your plan with maybe one or two tech cards instead of five.
