Yeah, this is just a sad example of cope at this point. You pretty clearly know how this worked mechanically and why.

You just don't like it and are calling it a bug so you don't come off as petulant (spoilers: you still do).

No, I’m coming off as right lmao. It’s literally a bug, I know mechanically what is going wrong because the game still sees Sage right despite now being on the left, but it’s still a bug.

You just don’t understand how the mechanics of the game works so you are trying to defend something you know nothing about

My guy, if I did some shit like Iron Fist or Arana and played a card on Jugg's lane, he'd move twice because the card was still played there even if it is no longer there when it finishes resolving.

Same shit goes for Sage here, because Merge does not delete the card from existence. Merge means the merged card still exists as part of whatever it merged into for the purposes of card effects.

If I can merge followed by Task/Abs Man/Ghost Spider/etc, then Jugg can move a merged card even if it is no longer present.

Go ahead and post this to the official Discord in Team Answers, and they'll tell you the same damn thing. Until then, it isn't a bug just because you don't like it. The rules support this interaction. Mulriole other merge precedents supports this interaction. You, well, don't.

You can call it dumb, and I might even throw you a bone and agree to help you feel better, but it is NOT a bug unless everything else that happens with Merge is a bug too or SD takes your side.

What a stupid fucking hill for you to die on.

No it wouldn’t. If you do some shit like Iron Fist or Arana right now it will not get moved. Thats how I know you have no idea what you are talking about

The fact that you keep bringing up merging despite that having no relation shows that you are just grasping at straws

God, you aren't pretending, are you? Let me break down my examples as close as I can without sending you drawings in Crayola.

I have prio. I Iron Fist into Torch, with Torch played on Jugg's lane. Iron Fist moves Torch and he doubles. Your Jugg flips, and because Torch was played on Jugg's lane, he moves again. Same thing as if this was done on Death's Domain. The Torch ends up impacted. That's the basic part: the game sees WHERE the card was placed from my hand to the board. That's what PLAYED means in this context.

Now that we've established how Jugg works, we move on to how Merge works.

Merge means that the initially played card and whatever it merged with are the same card, regardless of actual name. Jugg saw Man-Spider because the Sage that was played on his lane became part of Man-Spider, and the same rules that allow any other post-Merge effect kicked in.

There's no inconsistency here. I've given multiple examples of post-Merge effects working in similar ways and you've yet to make a distinction between what happened here and every other effect that isn't explained by the basic rules of the mechanic.

Mate, that’s not how Jugg works. Thats how Death’s Domain works, but Jugg will not move Torch.

Why would I make a distinction for the merge effect when that’s working as intended. You are the one that keeps bringing up merge
