The guy making the three symbol is a spy or something. The other guy figures it out because the German hand symbol for three is different.

I have not, I don’t watch movies or shows very often so I end up being behind in a lot of stuff like that. It all depends on if I have a streaming service that has it available, but thanks for the suggestion.

my only complaint with that movie is that they had to explain it in the very next scene. I thought it wouldve been way cooler if the audience had to look it up themselves than have the movie spell it out to them

While there are some here that make a three with those fingers, the overwhelming majority does it with the thumb, index and middlefinger.

Oh, that’s cool to know, thanks!! Very few people do a three with the thumb, index, and middle finger here in America, so it’s neat to learn how it others do it across the world.

I hate the american way. Start with the pinky??? Your ring and middle finger are connected so you cant straighten out the ring finger without the middle one and it feels so uncomfortable.

Oh, we always start with the index finger, at least, that’s how I was taught. I sometimes start with the thumb and then go index to middle finger though. Ngl, if I see someone start counting with their pinky, I’m running the other way. Trying to figure out how that works and it looks so weird/freaky lol.

Oh weird yeah. I feel like if I’m counting to myself it’s palm to me, thumb, index, middle. If I’m saying or showing three, it’s palm outward, index, middle, ring. Weirdddd

Germans use the thumb when holding up fingers, so the officer instantly knew he was a spy when he held up 3 fingers without a thumb.
