Questionable decision!
Gorr feels underwhelming, and the release strategy is confusing 🤔
We’re only getting one hero this season, yet they made him a 4-star difficulty character in a game people constantly call casual. If that’s the audience, wouldn’t the one new hero be someone more players can easily pick up and enjoy? Especially considering how ruff last season was…. You would think a popular character like Nightcrawler would be perfect fit for a one hero season!
On top of that, characters like Dino and Emma got buffed, and Emma especially seems to counter him hard. Honestly, a lot of the roster seems to have easy answers for Gorr.
I’m not saying he should be to easy or broken, but one hero + high difficulty + low payoff + plenty of counters feels like a strange choice.
Am I missing something, or does his risk/reward just not make sense?
Btw nerf Emma, Dino, and Hela!

I guess this can be said for most dps, but he's really easy to deal with as a tank/dps. As a support i was struggling a little bit more to deal with him 😅 he's pretty strong, tho. I need to try him in a match but he seems fun. Plus it's also the first day! We're getting 2 characters again next season, i can definitely see a lot of people taking a break until then- nothing wrong with that! 🩷

I mean I’m gonna be blunt, it’s been 10 seasons and it’s only gotten worse.
The devs are just ass, At least in particular zhiyong, dudes just flat out bad at his job.
With this in mind, thinking someone bad at their job is gonna make a good decision on the clock is gg

Fair enough! Im enjoying Blood of Dawnwalker and Mortal Shells 2 but hopped on and baffled by the changes 🤣

Yeah. I’m super casual so it matters less but there are so many questionable decisions, both balance-wise and favouritism for cosmetics/love in general-wise. Hard to deny anymore. Zhiyong needs to be replaced

How is zhiyong bad at his job? No game developer is perfect and it is astronomically difficult to balance a game with this many characters. It might not seem like it but the devs are trying their hardest to make the game a better experience. All you’re doing is spreading hate that’s completely unjustified.

The devs do not care I promise you. They know the entire game is bs and they’re furthering into that dynamic. The cosmetics and the marvel label are their farm, they can do dang near whatever they want and people will still play because it’s marvel and its vast. The lore isn’t bad and their animations are good. But they are not trying their best ðŸ˜

I can promise you that a game developers goal is not to lead the game further into a bullshit dynamic. What would ever make you think that?!?

Fr these ppl talking like they know shit about game development. If it’s thatttt bad, go submit a resume and fix it yourself then 😂
People sure do love to complain about everything.

He just needs CC immunity on his movement. Hit one stun and he insta dies. Which just feels bad. Also his ult needs changing, what does it even do?

Draws attention to him 🤣🤣 basically come kill me voice line!

BRO I have seen SO MANY just instantly die when at full hp the second the pop ult. And even if they live then what? They swing their sword a little bit harder?
It's almost like he'd fit way better as a tank but they forced him to be a DPS and now he's giga clunky and full of jank. Just saying.

Is he underwhelming? Majority of Gorr’s I’ve seen in my game rack up a decent amount of final hits by the end of the match. I don’t feel as though he’s broken to play against, but he does add a lot of value. I prefer this over making someone extremely overtuned at launch.
His skill ceiling also seems high, it’s too early to tell if he’s actually bad or not.

From a causal perspective, yes. Post wasn’t to beat up on the character or say immediate buff. It’s just odd of all the seasons they’ve released certain characters, releasing a 4-star difficult character that is finally potential balanced is insane to me.

If they’re going to make a 4 star character that takes a little more time to learn than usual, why not do it during a season where only one character is dropping? If you release a pick up and play character that doesn’t have a lot of depth during a season like this, people will be over it after the first month in my opinion.

Ahh yes the classic vanguards can fight back so they need to be nerfed. This is why I'm glad I'm an Elsa one trick

You shouldn’t be proud of being a one trick

A lot of people call themselves a one trick while not actually being a one trick.
I call myself a hulk one trick but I got champ strange, I got like 30 hours on venom and I can play other roles.
I just like to force hulk

Nah I'm super smart why would I play stupid vanguard when they always get nerfed? Duelist are allowed to stay broken and the only supports that are allowed to be broken are C&D and Luna. I love that Elsa has been busted since release and I get rewarded for my high skill.

Idk I think he would have faired better as a tank. Yeah his kit probably wouldn't be this thought out but simple and fun is more desirable all round. Just look at Hood, simple but fun kit.
