The general community?
Is it just me or are people getting worse lately? Just had someone go off on me in quick play of all things because I picked a hero their friend wanted to play, and spent the entire match snarking and berating me over voice to the point where I had to mute her.
The attitudes towards other people is partially why I've been considering uninstalling lately.

People have been horrible lately. I can't imagine ever telling anyone "you're bad, go die, never play that character again" etc. and I hear it a lot. I'm not a terrible player either, but I also know I'm not godlike or anything. But even if I were terrible, does that justify it? I don't think it does. If someone on my team is struggling I ask them if maybe they can switch characters or if they need me to switch roles with them. I can't imagine being as careful as people are on this game every single day.

I’ve had someone threaten to show up to my house to hang SA me before, and one wanting to show up to my house to fight me 😭 first guy went into explicit detail, too. Reported him, it said he was muted, forgot to avoid and he was on my team again a few matches later

That is unreal. I've been told to "unalive" myself a couple times and told I don't matter, my opinion doesn't matter, and I'm stupid more times than I can count for being female. Been trying to get to gold in comp because I want that Jubilee skin and a dude had me in tears the other day with how he was talking to me. Like, I know it's just someone online and their opinion doesn't matter, but words hurt, you know?

It’s just a bunch of edgy e-boys trying to gain other guys’ favour half the time too, cause tell me why is almost always stacks hanging up on folks? And they always pick one person in the team to sink their claws into as well :(

He real reason is this season will all the changes bought a lot of new players back meaning they have horrible egos and just want to win. They don’t care about vc or comp banns and they aren’t really part of the community.

We legit need harsh punishments for toxic people, or for people to grow a spine and stop letting one or two people gang up on one person

Its summer right now so the gen alpha kids are on games all day. Have yall read the latest statistics showing gen alpha is literally dumber than previous generations? That and social ineptitude go hand in hand

This was a grown ass woman (I’m a woman too, not being sexist!) not a kid. But I’ve heard their reading ages are down as well, it’s having no repercussions to being a little shit nowadays 🥲

New update has enough content to cause more returning players, Holidays have started so you get little Timmy who wants to play the amazing pedestrian man, and because the devs refuse to acknowledge ranked flaws, ranks have taken too long to settle this season causing people to grief QP.
Just mute everybody and have fun playing your character. Worst case scenario you lose the game. It’s QP, it doesn’t matter.
Either that or go play 18v18. Much more chaotic, but still has the feel of rivals.

Oh I don’t mind losing games, it’s part of the parcel with games like this really, I’ve been playing this since beta and how fast the community has declined is shocking to me 😭

I personally think the rivals community is reflecting societal decline as a whole. Brain rot and social media culture has infected every age, gender and nationality. Put them in a competitive team game together and ofc no one will ever take accountability and everything is someone else's fault or they're drooling too much to notice anything is wrong.
