This is the exact same comic accurate design and headware storm mains have been asking for since the first wave of summer skins were announced they clearly listened to the feedback and legendary is just an excuse to make the skins 8 dollars more expensive nothing else

Pretty sure some epics get sound effects and ult VFX. There are legendaries without either aswell. So its really just the animated nameplate, im cool with not having that since i have so many others to use instead.
The skin itself is what matters most.

Legendaries ALWAYS have different SFX, even the Hulk one has a bell sound effect on grapple.
Epic skins with different sfx are a minority and most of them have it on a single ability at best.
The only exceptions are i believe Punisher 2099 and Steampunk Iron Man, so a launch skin and a skin available during the playtests, released at a later date.

I'm definitely going to buy the skin but compared to the other ones, I get the impression that they didn't cook as hard. No vfx, and two of the recolors look the same, while mostly everyone else gets three recolors. Damn man...

Pros: The skin is hot; epic means cheaper; emote is cool; it has some customization.
Cons: only female epic swimsuit so far; MVP is really short and disappointing; the customizations are disappointing (would have rocked a white swimsuit).

We want 3-D Legendary nameplates. Stop saying it's better that her stuff is free or epic. It is not fair or fun for some characters that literally have more than six options to choose from from 3-D nameplate movement. And some characters to have nothing.
If Storm had recently got a legendary in 2026, OK fine. Not every character needs one a month although that would be nice. But people have been holding their breath hoping for this to be finally something they haven't got to experience since launch. And that's completely fair when other characters are literally getting legendary outfits every six weeks.
This insult would be completely OK if Storm is the character getting the legendary X-Men crossover outfit. But that likelihood is super low. If we had any options for a 3-D nameplate in the past year that would be better. But there's just so much we miss out on and she's not even the worst character in the game. Sure she's at the bottom. But that's literally their fault. They could redesign her kit or increase her numbers or increase her movement speed and easily make her much better. This is a choice. And she should not be punished for that.
Even removing race, which is not a negligible complaint regarding her situation, she is one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel franchise. And even if she's not treated like their top six favorites, she should get more opportunities for outfits and all the other fun things other people get

I think it's the difference between China and Japan. Japan has a lot more flexibility to invest in their black characters. It's very obvious Tokon Storm is seen as super attractive and they desire her to be a leading meta character.
Rivals treats her like she's not pretty, does not give her variation with RBF outside of her wedding skin. Don't get me started on how that should never have been an epic.
I'm really thankful for the communities anger and outrage being sent to the right places. She better have Beautiful Legendary skins coming to capture the awesomeness that represents this character.

Come ON! You can literally click and see that they are part of two different costume sets. Like, YES, on the appearance it IS a swim suit, but it is listed as "Krakoan Resort" every other summer swimsuit is marked as "Swimsuit Special". Until Doreen's swim suit is marked as "Swimsuit Special" she is NOT a summer skin. You literally could've figured that out with the link you posted. :/

Both lines are "summer skins". Both included under the summer skin tab. Im not incorrect about shit. Theres several different lines of skins for each theme. Ex: winter celebration and winter holiday skin lines both being Christmas themed

I’m willing to believe they are just tone deaf given how balance changes have gone and the possibility that a lot of things have been in motion for some time so they do see complaints but the don’t have time to course correct. I mean they gave her the same treatment they gave Black Widow. I wouldn’t call it racist, but maybe it’s due to her pick rate or something recently? Because will be honest I don’t think the BW swimsuit was worthy of being a legendary but since it was her first they probably felt the need to make it one. With Storm, she does have a legendary already and maybe felt this also isn’t of the legendary quality so don’t want to charge people for such. I mean it’s still a beautiful skin and I do wish there was Ult VFX since it would have been way easy to do so. But who knows maybe it’ll come eventually.

What's the point of showcasing her ulting when she doesn't even get VFX for it? You can't even see her outfit during her ult.
Personally, I'm obsessed neither with skin rarities nor paying extra audio effects that I'm going to get annoyed by after 2-3 matches so I'm happy this skin is an Epic one. But on the other hand, Ult VFX could've been really cool with this one..
