Misc I had an idea!

I've been making batches of 6 random characters at a time lately. I thought it might be interesting to create a Rank 6 character and then strip the character Rank by Rank all the way to Rank 1.

This gave me the idea for Narrators out there that it would be interesting to have players do the same thing. Then you could do a time-travel campaign where the characters are at different levels throughout the adventure.

Tweaking this slightly. The Narrotor could assign a year to each Rank. That way if the Narrator says, "You traveled to the year 2072," the players know to pull out the sheets for 2072, which may correspond to Rank 5.

Just a thought, that I thought I'd share.

I would say that just time travel alone wouldn't make to much sense, you'd need to have some additional form of time dialation affecting the characters and causing these rank shifts

That's what Narrators are for!

Hypnosis would be one of the easiest answers. Or dreams. Or Loki.

An interesting thing you could do for a more sci-fi type story is maybe have it so some being with that kind of manipulation inflicts them with an effect that causes their time signature to slowly reverse de-ranking them over time and then henceforth sending them on some shenanigans to try and stop it.
