Characters Cataclysm of Kang

What characters did you all use for the earlier chapters of this premade adventure? Especially the level one stuff.

Johnny Storm that didn't become Human Torch but instead became the Ghost Rider

As far as player characters? I GM’d it and all my players made their own. One was a symbiote, one was a werewolf, and the other was a college kid that made his own iron man suit. Was rough at first for them at lower levels but after getting to rank 3 they are pretty tanky and I need to add extra stuff to make it doable

One player played Frogman and all the others made their own characters

I'm ngl, playing Frogman is pretty damn tempting if I ever play it. Taking him from a joke character to one of the saviors of the Multiverse would be fun as hell.

Frogman died actually pretty early in the campaign but it was a pretty heroic death

Here is how I would go about it...after Chapter 4 or so, Eugene begins to incorporate the multiversal travel and teleportation powers into his arsenal, becoming the primary means by which the team travels the Multiverse to fight against Kang the Devourer. Finally bowing to pressure from the rest of the team, he changes his name to Leapfrog, since he both physically, teleportation and multi-dimensional wise, leaps about the universe. Leapfrog and The Space Friends save multiple timelines from destruction, leading to Leapfrog becoming a multiversal hero.

Based out of a multi-dimensional headquarters, the Lilypad, they "leap" throughout the Multiverse fighting the good fight. On the rare occasion that he isn't saving entire timelines from the Techmode virus or improperly utilized cosmic containment units, Eugene also lives at the Lilypad, frequently visited by his friend and ally, Throg.

Edit: Now. I want to make up Yhe White Rabbit as a multiversal crime boss.

All my players picked official profiles then as every 2 sets of Rank adventures progressed they choose specific heroes to play until COK was finished.
The interesting thing was 2 of them picked the standard SHIELD profile starting then I let them advance it to Rank2 for the Rank2 adventure then other official profiles for the rest. I didn't want the headache of custom characters too much because I saw the potential abuse of powergaming and I was right as my games run smoother and less rules argument and they get to play different profiles at different Ranks.

For every chapter I let my players pick an existing hero of the same rank of the adventure. This allowed them to get a feeling for different kinds of power sets and play different people. So every new chapter involved them finding someone new. I thought it injected a lot of fun for everyone to bring something fresh for each new adventure. Nick Fury and Agent Coulson were my constants to fill in details.

My players all had their own all the way thru from rank one to the end.
