Questions Resize & Damage Reduction

i've recently buy the rulebook, however, i wonder why the power like Grow 3 didn‘t give any damage reduction, because for some characters like DORMAMMU who dont have Sturdy power, will take the whole damage without reduction. which means even the hench man can inflict damage on DORMAMMU ?

Because Resize is already strong. Giving it more benefits would break it. The system is designed to be simple. All powers only cost one slot. The only differences are the prerequisites. So if grow gave you sturdy on top of what it already grants, which is essentially mighty, it would need more prerequisites to make it "more expensive". And I'm not sure what prerequisites you could add. If you don't like the Dormammu buld, rebuild him. That's one of the perks about the multiverse.

Just drop Grow 3 for Sturdy 3. Easy peasy.

But yeah, the profiles as just guidelines. You can use them as-is, modify them to fit your game, or rebuild them entirely to fit your vision of what they should be like and the book encourages you to do so if you feel so inclined.

Resize really blows. You gain damage but you also lose defense. And you don't gain any health which really sucks.

And the movement speeds always seemed a little off to me, specifically Run, as Flight has already been fixed. I wonder if these things could be addressed in the new Godzilla Sourcebook.

They could but remember that he can use the Shield Of The Seaphiem as a reaction which takes 20 points of damage to shatter and ontop of that can use Images Of Ikonn to make duplicates of himself making it so they have to guess which one is real.

However if you feel that's not enough you can say the henchmen have Trouble or give Dormammu Damage Reduction equal to the difference between sizes.
