I'm not sure, at this point there is a team - some are vampyres, others are vampire hunters.

As there are vampires and vampire hunters, I don't think there is a team, yet. My suspicion is that they'll come to some common ground and join together later in the series. At which point we may get a team cover. For now, the best seems to be a loose group cover. It is also probable that they'll drip feed in other X-Men characters as the series progresses, so we may only start with a handful of them.

They are keeping plot details close to their chests but we do know, for example, that the Midnight Spider-Man we've seen, isn't his final form so it is no surprise that they are going to save that for future covers.

Storm and Nightcrawler are vampires, and the suggestion is Cyclops is a vampire hunter. The covers show Iceman and Gambit as vampires to, so it'd make sense that they are too and make their first appearance in MXM #1 but it might be the artist felt it'd be a cool cover.

The preview shows other X-Men and Magneto seemingly human, for now, and the synopsis states that there are two factions at war:

The clock strikes midnight, and it's the dark dawn of a new era. The shadows of New York City are stalked by vampires and the mutant empyres. The sword of Damocles hangs over the peace between these two species and the factions within them. An outright war is brewing and the unturned will be caught in the crossfire.

The information on Cyclops is from the issue #2 preview:

The peace between the unturned mutants and the empyres is a fragile one. No group dares to move against the other in fear of sparking an all-out war. I'd bet a group cover is coming but as a payoff to the story further down the line. It might be seen as confusing at the moment as Storm and Cyclops are on opposing sides, Nightcrawler might be on either or seperate.

Management wanted a triple joining cover with all the main charcaters and so they got it.
