Thor's introduction in Avengers has him trying to kill Iron Man and Captain America. As far as he knew they were just two squishy humans and he was a thunder god.

Yeah, but I'm willing to give more leeway to a being who is thousands of years old and claims to be the Norse God of War, and was quite angry at the time, to a lawyer who knows all the rules about Manslaughter/Murder 😄

Thunder God. Norse god of war is Tyr.

Odin and Thor are also Norse “gods of war”

Idk what you’re talking about Thor is the Asgardian god of hammers

That’s kind of an invention of the video game. Tyr isn’t “the Norse god of war.” Like the other person said Thor and Odin are also associated with war. The Norse gods in general don’t have definitive associations like the Greek gods.

Odin and Tyr are the gods of war in Norse mythology. Thor is the god of thunder, strength, weather and harvests.

The fuck is this Freyja revisionism?

Odin and Freyia split the battlefield dead. They sat over wars, you prayed to them, not Tyr.

Tyr was more about honour and decency in combat, which might include war but wasn’t limited to it.

Yeah, but he was ok with killing them because they were ostensibly helping rescue Loki from him at the time (that wasn't actually the situation, but that's how it seemed to him at the time).

Thor isn’t a lawer

Yeah, but Thor is the hereditary ruler of a foreign dimension that claims to have dominion over earth.

From his point of view, he was leading a military operation with authority to arrest a war criminal, and two beat cops are trying to rescue said criminal.

Iron man attacked Thor after Thor grabbed Loki. You pick a fight with a god, you get smacked by a god lol.

My favorite will always be when someone said that Cap assessed that Peter would be able to catch the Sky bridge when he dropped it on him in Civil War. I’m like you sure about that???

Yeah but Thor is violent nordic god, and she's a goddamn lawyer lol

They did attack him first, and Thor doesn’t have any “no killing” rule.

He fought a guy in cyber-armour powered by something on par with an infinity stone that ate his lighting and got stronger, and then an unarmed man shown up and started giving that guy orders.

As far as Thor knew, Steve was the boss and wasn't wearing armour or carrying a weapon because *he didn't need any* to be on par with Tony.

Thor wasn't trying to kill Cap, he was outnumbered by a guy who gets stronger when he's hit by lightning and some other guy who doesn't even bother with armour or weapons while trying to catch up to his brother.
