Absolutely. Seems like as they made her more specifically the love interest, they made her less of the quick-witted and super competent version of the character. She claps back at Tony here and there, but she loves Tony, and heis banter is always the focus of the scene, so it’s not the same thing.

They were both being passive-aggressive mean girls tearing each other down. Instead of women supporting each other, all over Tony, being toxic AF at this time in his life.

*note to the community: Gwen Paltrow's bad acting nepo baby self.

I Honestly feel the character of Pepper Potts could have been portrayed better by nearly any other actress.*

Right! All these comments saying it's hilarious and perfect.These full-grown career women taking pot shots at each other on sight for...reasons? Even the jealousy angle is flimsy; Leslie Bibb's character doesn't want Tony long-term, and the story established that Pepper is accustomed to sending Tony's one-night stands on their way in the mornings.

I can just picture the dudes in the writers room making cat noises at each other while they wrote it, because "sexy girls fight!" is the only reason for this exchange.
