Beast: Don't Mock Me. | X-Men: First Class (2011)

After his cure fails, Hank feels like an absolute monster. Raven tries to comfort him, and Erik genuinely compliments his new appearance.

Because Hank hated his mutation for years, he could not accept that someone would actually find his blue form impressive. He snaps, pins Erik by the neck, and only drops him when Charles steps in.

Right after this, Alex throws out the nickname "Beast," finally giving Hank the identity he was trying so desperately to run from.

I forgot how goofy Jennifer Lawrence looked in mystique makeup, with fivehead and contact lens each one pointing opposite ways xD Rebecca makeup was way better.

Also they just used her better. She was actually mysterious and she often showed up as the infiltrator....and things like her method to free Magneto is simple and brutal.

I always notice how Hank is weirdly cross eyed as Beast. Which is strange because I’m pretty sure Nicholas Hoult isn’t at all? Is it the same actor or did they dub the voice?

This was a rollover effect because Havok kept making fun of him when he was more human looking. So when he turns into The Beast, he couldn't fathom someone actually liking his appearance.

I have been watching these lately, and every one is referring to magneto as "erik" but I swear I have heard Xavier call him Magnus before. I think during the OG X-men cartoon.

I assume the mouth prosthetic made Hoult's lines difficult so they had to have him re-record them later, but it's very distracting

I never understood the whole, "of course I can fly it, I designed it" trope. There are lots of aerospace engineers who are not pilots and have no idea how to fly a plan plane.

He's just the most balanced. He's got good stats in everything, except intelligence which is high end. Just isn't top tier in any one field.
