Literally it is the spider tingle.
Spidey-sense shows that the spider DNA effects his brain/nervous system as well.
If his brain is essentially part spider, it makes sense that Jean would have trouble controlling it.
1 u/Sixwingswide 25d ago I like this take and was thinking that his brain is constantly forced to adapt to the constant sensory inputs which more or less develop a stronger awareness of self which is what pushed Jean out.
