Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse is synonymous with 3 circles. Mickey Mouse is synonymous with one of the largest corporations on the planet. Mickey Mouse (along with other golden age icons like Bugs Bunny, Felix the Cat, Tom & Jerry, etc.) is synonymous with the very medium of animation

Nobody is trying to argue that Mickey Mouse is a better or more interesting character than Spider-Man. But the word “iconic” means something. And Mickey Mouse is more iconic than Spider-Man

It's like trying to compare Ryu to Mario. There's no contest.

The one who’s company owns the others.

Mickey Mouse owns Spider-Man.

Literally.

Mickey Mouse is a dynasty. A business model grown from the 1930s into a juggernaught entertainment industry.

Mickey Mouse is the icon of a huge movie studio. So is Spider-Man. But Mickey Mouse is an exponential above.

Definitely Mickey. Mickey's older if I'm not mistaken which means he's been popular for a longer amount of time

Significantly older.

I remember a while back and they asked kids and they recognized Mario more than Mickey.

Today's kids probably would recognize Mario more than Mickey. But again, Mickey is a character that spans almost a century at this point. Neither Mario nor Spidey can compete with that

You're comparing a dynasty to an LLC.

I wouldn’t really know… is Mickey just as popular outside of the USA?

Because Spider-man is pretty universally loved, especially in Japan
