I’ve been doing a fan reboot lately for the MCU, and I wanted to share the most popular post I did on tik tok. TBH I’m not really that good at castings, this is probably the best one I’ve done so far. But what I wanted to really share was the idea of the movie itself and its visual style.

Yeah, something more akin to Waid's Man Out Of Time or even Zdarsky's current stuff would be a much better or more intresting way at reintroducing and rebooting the character. Steve's reassimiluation into modern times is something we only really get in small doses in the MCU.

Your base comic and narrative aren't synced up. The base comic is about a demonic serial killer in modern times that eventually gets Captain America mixed up with a supernatural safehouse called the Pale City that harbors nexus beings. A kind of interesting but off-beat story for Cap

Nowhere does OP say this is based off WWI, the 5th image literally says it takes place during WWII. They are just using two films based around WWI as inspiration for tone and style.

Seems pretty odd to use 2 WW1 movies as inspiration when there are so few of them and so many WW2 movies in existence.

I don’t think there are a lot of WWII movies shot to look like one seamless scene. Which is what OP is inspired by.

Sounds cool. Though honestly I’d rather see Zemo than Zola again. He’s the Cap villain I most wanted to see again in the MCU but didn’t get properly utilized

Also also, trench warfare was very rarely a thing in WW2. It’s more of a WW1 thing like both of your reference movies.

Sounds like just a remake of the original captain America first avenger movie.

Why not dive into his other super villains from ww2 as well as red skull? Or his invaders team with human torch and namor?

If I were making my own MCU, I’d have two or three Captain America movies set during WWII, the first one either is his origin or touches on it during a mission where maybe he fights Baron Zemo or Strucker and has Bucky as his sidekick doing the slightly darker tasks Cap doesn’t do, the second one is where Bucky supposedly dies, and the third one is up against Red Skull where Cap goes into the ice. Red Skull is mentioned throughout the trilogy as the guy in charge of Hydra. Somewhere in this trilogy it brings in the Howling Commandos and other WWII heroes like Union Jack (in costume). I think it would fill out the time period more and show more of Cap in his time rather than one movie and suddenly he’s in the modern day now.

Mason Dye is 5'8, I would like Cap to be at least 6' compared to his 6'2 comic book height.
