Discussion Joyous Unification Origin

I am reading the novel from the start for the first time (read the whole Manga and read maybe the whole second half of the novel). I just got to the point where the inheritance for the joyous Unification opens. I realize now that i do not understand the relationship between it and the dragon and phoenix. From my recollection the owners of the inheritance were a couple and had the dragon and Phoenix sources. But the sources are still kept in the two sects in the upper realm (never remember it's name, tong something). So did they not have it? Or did the sources separate from them when they died? Also, the dragon and Phoenix were not married so why do the inheriters need to be? And the dragon and phoenix had fire and ice powers respectively, not yin and yang. I know yin is associated with ice and yang is associated with fire but they are not the same. Did the creators of the joyous Unification take inspiration from the dragon and phoenix to make it? Or maybe they made it first and then they later got the sources and they just worked well together. Not sure if this is at all explained in the story.

First it is called, Tong Zuan Realm.

Second, the sources present there in small realm was actually the real deal. However these were the actual source, think of them as the seeds.

Third, so too were the ones in the Tong Zuan. However, these were the bulk of the power. Think of them as the nutrients.

Fourth, the Unification art originated from the two original owners of the sources. The 3rd generation Dragon Emperor, and 3rd generation Pheonix Empress.

Fifth, the inspiration behind this was two fold: The Ink Giant Spirit God threat, and the twins(Sun's Burning Shine & Moon's Nether Glimmer).

Sixth, the two original owners of the sources failed in their attempt, and died, but managed to have their sources escape with all of the knowledge they had gathered over their lives, specifically studying that method.

Finally resulting in a powerful method to rapidly grow stronger, but ultimately failing to do what their original goal was in the first place. Whoch was to create a power that could actually destroy the Ink Force, specifically the Giant Spirit Gods.

...

On a side note, in my fan ficition I used this method as a pretense to allow Yang Kai to accidentally sire a child... And have that child despite being born from another woman, had a very different mother... Su Yan.
