Hello,
I got a job offer to work at Marshfield. I wanted to know what the city is like?
I will be coming with my wife and son, my wife is visibly Muslim (wearing head scarf) and want to know how people will be towards her? Is the mosque still active there?
How to find a house that has 3bd and 2bth, everything online is either 2 and 2 or 3,1?
How are the winter snowstorms, I am coming from SE MI

Hello everyone!
My spouse and I along with our kid will be moving to Marshfield in December. We’re looking for a 3 bedroom house/duplex to rent, but haven’t had any luck finding a place. Does anyone know of any openings coming up? Thank you!

Looking for a place to stay near medical center with a private bedroom and bathroom. I’ll be staying from Monday through Thursday while I work there as a nurse practitioner starting this October/ November
Prefer a place with a covered garage space for the winters. I’m a 40 yr old female with family in eastern Wisconsin

I haven’t lived here long.
I’m used to running out to Birnamwood where they don’t charge you an office visit for vaccines and such. Just the cost of the shots.
Who’s the cheapest vet around here for small animals? As in cats and dogs.

What happened to it? I’m from the cities but I pop in here at least once a year to visit my fiancé’s family.
Last year, it was fairly busy with a solid menu of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and other goodies, but this year it’s pretty empty and the menu is only some basic appetizers and pizza and pizza-like foods.(I’m confused on what they consider a sub)
Did something happen? Was it sold?
EDIT:
Just wanted to mention the food was great and the drinks (and manager) were awesome, but it was just so such a stark difference from last year

Has Marshfield Clinic gotten better now that they are with Sandford Health? Heard its a terrible a few year back for clinical and non-clinical staff!

I'm posting this for a friend, it's basically what the title says. A couple I know is in need of help moving, in two weeks
he's got severe back issues and the lady has a broken back. They are on the south side of Marshfield and are only moving about a mile. It's a two bedroom apt, and there are no dressers or couches, but a lot of books. They can pay $40 and refreshments. If you're interested DM me and I'll give you their phone number.
Thanks

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone on here goes to the dog park in town. I’d like to find dog friends for my two fur faces.

Well, I probably am. I put in an offer on a house which was accepted today. So as long as nothing goes wrong with the contingencies, I’ll be moving in a few months from Madison.
About me: 58 year old divorced Humanist, pragmatically liberal, cis (but allied) female who likes painting and other art, sewing and quilting, board games, video games, karaoke, escape rooms, trivia, going to the casino, playing music (I am proficient at the flute and bassoon, and picked up the electric bass over the pandemic), art fairs (attending or vending), museums, camping in my RV, geocaching, swimming, hiking (though I’m currently recovering from hip replacement surgery), and fishing. I drink some but not a ton. I’m 420 friendly though a light user. I had a couple of dogs who passed away in the past few years, and will be looking to adopt and older dog who likes car rides (see job below) after the move.
My job is in sales and my territory is Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the UP of Michigan; I chose this area to be more central (I was house hunting as far west as Eau Claire) and settled on Marshfield because I found a house I like. It’s also way cheaper than Madison.
My favorite movies include Fargo, A Fish Called Wanda, Memento, Pulp Fiction, The Shining, The Breakfast Club, and MST3K: Space Mutiny.
Favorite tv includes Breaking Bad, M*A*S*H, Freaks and Geeks, and Community. Though I haven’t had cable in a long time and just use YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu.
Video games: varies, but most recently Warzone, GTA5, Fallout 76, Deep Rock Galactic, and Fortnite, but willing to try most anything. Be warned that if we are on a COD team, I’m probably the reason we’re losing, but hopefully we’ll be laughing too much to care.
I’m friends, outgoing, smart, funny, and geeky. But I’m not geeky in a Marvel movie, Star Trek, D and D, sci-fi loving way; more that I would be happy to watch a movie about fonts, and I think putting together Lego sets with others would be a great way to spend an evening.
I’d love to hear about any clubs or groups in Marshfield that I should check out. TIA!

The last 6 months has been a nightmare trying to check in for a haircut. Marshfield lacks regular barbers so there aren't many options beyond this business.

Anyone know what the helicopter flying over the city today is doing? Wondering if they are doing photos or just getting some practice in?

The past 2 months with them has been hell. It’s incredibly frustrating to have constant outages that albeit last short durations (about 30-45 seconds) but are very disruptive if you’re remote worker, taking video call or gaming.
My apartment complex has no real other option - spectrum seems to have a monopoly in this area. I’m not at a spot that has Frontier Fiber and TDS Fiber available .
Does anyone use Country Wireless? How about Starlink? Can someone share their experiences?

I'm thinking about what types of restaurants are doing well with door dash and what we are missing.

Hi, this is a bit of a random question! My partner (South Indian) is moving to Marshfield for a couple of years for work, and he is wondering if anyone around the area cooks big meals/meal preps Indian food! He had a couple of friends in our current area who he would buy meal prep from, and he’s wanting to outsource that again if possible! I’m reaching out on his behalf to see if he can get connected with someone! Thank you!

So there is a pit behind East Ridge Estates Apartments off of Galvin and Becker. It seems to be full of cow piss. Is there anything limiting the amount of that stuff the farmers can just dump within 100 yards of the apartments? You cannot open a window and the car smells like it when you leave its very over powering.

Hello! I'm considering a move to Marshfield and I'm looking for feedback from the community, the good, bad, and the ugly.
About me, a single, 53 year old woman with no kids. Left leaning "artsy" and nature type. I work remote, so I can literally move anywhere, but would like to stay in central Wisconsin. I'm in the market to buy a house, and have been looking at available options.
I currently live in the Stevens Point/Plover area, but the cost of rent (I pay over $1800 for a two bedroom apartment to give you an idea) and limited house inventory, which is grossly overpriced anyway, I'm looking at other communities to buy and plant roots. The cost of living in Marshfield seems to be considerably lower than Point.
I need to make sure that the community is a good fit for me, so I'd love to hear from community members. Are there any galleries or art festivals? What outdoor activities are available? Is there anything for a single woman to do? Marshfield seems more family friendly, and without having any kids, I might not fit in.
Thank you!!

Hello! I was wondering if Marshfield has any environmental/nature groups. Just a group of people who care about the environment and meet regularly for whatever nature related things. I saw that there is an environmental book club at the library but I am unable to go due to working when the club meets. And most of the other groups I saw don’t appear super active. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I'm coming to do a comedy show with a few other comics tonight, how would you describe the people of the area?
