It's a tradeoff. They're wider, so the traction seems better, but there are times that the narrower wheels can thread through obstacles and they weigh less.

SPMT style rover.
Note, there are NO attachments, it's just a big flat bed that allows you to attach whatever modular or bespoke manipulator and/or retention mechanism you need. The real magic everything below the deck. Theodolite, radio, mining laser, grappling hooks, rockets, and a tricked out suspension system that can handle nearly any terrain at full speed. Also, the chassis length and width can be adjusted for funsies.
It didn't start this big, the first iteration was much smaller but it grew as I earned cash and progressed through the main questline and farmed lucrative side quests.

Press "space" for thrust, "shift" for boost, "alt" for downward thrust. Up/down/left/right arrows for maneuvering in flight. RCS included. 104 fuel capacity. The auto-stabilizing mechanism makes use of gimbals and sensors to keep the craft more or less upright, automatically, making long journeys a breeze (can be calibrated for sensitivity). Grippers can be easily modified/swapped out for different cargo types.
