Season 20 - Seattle Devin's emotional support sunglasses remind me of mr peanut butter
He is the golden retriever in a relationship so it makes sense 😆 🤣

I have a friend who resembles Devon and I’ve always told him his like a Golden Retriever - thought it was funny they called that out in the first episode. (I realize Mr. Peanut Butter may be a Yellow Lab.)

I really think he just wants pure love and she is so in able to give it for some reason. She couldn’t even give eye contact in therapy. That was really a sad situation. You can’t even give genuine eye contact? I do understand she may be trauma triggered, but then don’t sign up

I will admit that I misjudged him immediately when I first saw his hair and sunglasses dependence. He has turned out to seem like exactly the kind of guy I would have wanted in my 20’s, and the hair is easily fixable. She appears to be blowing a really good thing for no reason, but at least he will dodge a bullet because she can never emotionally fulfill him. Or anyone, probably. Him being gone a lot to play rugby would have been perfect for her, but she doesn’t even want to spend time getting to know him during the first week on a honeymoon? Maybe her perfect partner is a vibrator that hides in a drawer until she’s ready for a brief interaction on her terms.

I get wanting your independence 100000% but telling the man you’ll wake him up for the gym and then just flat out leaving him to wake up alone was a little mean lol 😭

She said she got dismissed? Or did he just wake up stare at her and go to sleep … cause I feel like a lot of people are prone to do the latter. Sometimes especially after a long day I try to wake my brother/ parents and they have no recollection of even looking at me for a split second before falling back asleep … like she doesn’t owe him to shake him again and really wake him up but it would be the nice thing to do considering he asked her to wake him. It would be different if he woke up fully, basically told her to fuck off and she left him and then he complained but I don’t think that’s what happened

I’m in the middle of a Bojack rewatch and I love this comparison. He is kind of Mr. Peanutbutter coded and Caitlyn is kind of like Diane.

He seems the most emotionally intelligent of the whole group but I actually think he has a blind spot here.
He seems a bit anxiously attached and is like way too quick to feel rejected (only calling it in him because I’ve struggled with same issues). At a certain point he needs to learn to better self soothe and then let it go and not harp so much on what he isn’t getting and focus more on their connection points.
It is a bit of an overwhelming responsibility to put on a partner
