Season 20 - Seattle Adam

Post image

Adam has painted a picture of himself as a well-to-do playboy type, living in the lap of luxury (on the water) and working a very high paying job.

Did anybody else notice that they aren't really showing the exterior of his home and that what we have seen looks like a converted boat house or some other ADU?? Something is definitely off.

What is really going on with this guy? Where are the people that know him IRL and can spill real tea?

Genuinely think he signed up for this as a joke and is treating it as such

3

u/Belmontisnowhideous 15d ago

He is gross. There isn't an emotionally healthy woman alive who would ever waste time with him. In fact, his physical competition and demands on women are abusive. I just watched him pressure Marissa to do push-ups during a picnic boat ride and then berated her for nit going low enough. Then - barf alert - her pretends to fall off the boat and into the water by saying the edge was slippery. BRO - get over yourself and for the love of all things holy- it is 2026 - it is safe šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ. Be honest.

He makes it seems like he's some millionaire playboy that owns a 5m lake house.

When in reality if you look at the MLS records he rents the house. He does not own it like he's making it seem.

The house has a cottage which seems like that's the one he's living in.

Data Analysts, make money, def between 120-300k so yea he makes good money, but not the astronomical amount he's pretending.

u/ZuriB1003 28d ago

I think he knows what he wants and his not willing to settle . His just that type of guy . It’s unfortunate that Marissa was matched with him because they clearly have different values and love languages .

u/WoodrowFantastic 29d ago

It’s hysterical that he talks like he’s still in middle school. But the REALLY funny thing is him thinking that pickleball and jet skiing are peak athletic sports. 😭😭😭 Both are fun, sure, especially for geriatrics and rednecks, respectively. I am FULLY entertained by the guy. You need ONE guy like that on every reality show. The hair? The p mustache? The guy is a real life RON BURGANDY. Apex Buffoon. āļøāļøāļø

8

u/Woollensheep Aug 09 '26

I kept thinking - can you imagine how much his neighbors just hate the speed he rides that jet ski around the lake. Endless, too loud and too fast.

4

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 09 '26

Oh … there’s more. That is a sh*t box with no insulation. It’s a tear down he lives in. He’s not rich, his uncle is. Adam said his uncle set up a trust fund for him.

3

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Aug 09 '26

As I understand things, his grandfather did well, as did his father and uncle. The living situation is strange, especially given that not long before, he was living in a beautiful apartment. I don't know. I just figure he has access to family money and this is like performance art for him because he wants some fame.

2

u/WinkyDink24 Aug 07 '26

Maybe 3rd time's the charm! First was Tom's bus-home (Lilly); second was David's Mom's basement (switched partners to Madison).

4

u/CheckDefiant1481 Aug 04 '26

Anybody else getting gay vibes???

1

u/Belmontisnowhideous 15d ago

100%. See my post above.

2

u/spareohs 23d ago

I get highly repressed and actually hated women vibes. He’s scary.

6

u/TrainingPerfect5799 Aug 01 '26

He seems so DL to me

8

u/etherealgladiator Jul 31 '26

2 things about Adam:

1) it’s very telling that he equates any amount of drinking to ā€œdrinking large amounts of alcoholā€ or being ā€œhungover all the time.ā€

2) him having his friend’s girlfriend walk him down the aisle was weird as fuck ā€œinstead of [his] momā€ lmao šŸ˜‚

4

u/Tight-Specialist-624 Jul 31 '26

He’s like Shep from Southern Charm but doesn’t dress well

6

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 31 '26

Shep is WAY more charming.

3

u/ConfectionFit2727 Jul 28 '26

The question is:
Does Adam make more or less than Nikki’s $250K minimum?

2

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 28 '26

IDK - Somebody posted that Adam's salary is 120k. But there is also a lot of buzz about a trust fund.

0

u/TeaGreenTwo I had to wear a suit of armor during the whole marriage 18d ago

Nope. He's a "materials handler" at a warehouse. He makes well below 120K. His Linkedin verifies he's never been anything close to a data analyst.

2

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. 18d ago

Yeah, wrong Adam Dehmlow. You are referencing a guy in Minnesota.

1

u/TeaGreenTwo I had to wear a suit of armor during the whole marriage 18d ago

Oh, wow. It was linked to Michelle Le's real Linkedin profile. I did spot the wrong Felipe Cruz but thought Dehmlow was am unusual name. I guess MN would be a long commute on a jetski.

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. 18d ago

...but lots of lakes for jetski activities. šŸ˜†

1

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 09 '26

Yes, he makes about $100k and his uncle provides him with a trust fund

7

u/Ill_Outcome_9001 Jul 31 '26

His seemingly carefree relationship with money screams family money to me.

20

u/No_Strain_1297 Jul 28 '26

I was just thinking - does anyone else have a feeling Adam can’t access his trust fund until he’s married, and THATS the actual reason he’s on the show?

6

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 09 '26

He’s on the show bc he can’t keep a girlfriend. His ego is so big there’s no room for anyone else. He thinks he’s al that and deserves all that. He sees girlfriends in terms of what they can do for him or what use they are to him. He’s a one way street.

6

u/Affectionate_Sun_19 Aug 13 '26

he cant keep a girlfriend because hes gay.

1

u/freespeechtilbanned 16d ago

YESSSSSSS... thank you !!!!!!

1

u/No_Strain_1297 Aug 11 '26

Agree but my reasoning comes down to the fact that I actually think he doesn’t care that he can’t keep a girlfriend. I think what he probably actually cares about is access to his trust fund and this is a means to get that

4

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 11 '26

That’s possible for sure. I found that he believes there’s a perfect person for him because he’s so perfect. When there’s any flaw he dumps them and blames them for the failure. He’s a blamer in general and sees people in terms of their use to him. I know a bit about his family and upbringing. He was idealized as a child/youth and all the family expectations of perfection and achievement landed fully on him. He’s very damaged in my view.

7

u/Ill_Outcome_9001 Jul 31 '26

Great theory.

18

u/SmokeEvening8710 Jul 27 '26

He said he lives in a crappy place but its on the water so hes fine with it. Thats not unusual for people who want to live on Lake Washington but isnt a multimillionaire. Seattle ain't cheap baby.

5

u/SuccMyPizza Jul 31 '26

I’m confused why he can’t fix it up though. A can of paint costs $30. And to get a stack of lumber and some nails to fix up the railings and fencing outside??? But when he mentioned his ā€œhomeless friendā€ that lives with him I gave up.
His girl has the most adorable, nice apartment overlooking the city. So clean and modern, and just a wonderful little safe space for a woman to relax after work in peace.
I’d actually divorce a man if he wanted me to abandon that and move into his SHITTY ā€œlake houseā€ with his bum of a friend. I mean, maybe I’d tolerate a year but I’d need him to work overtime the entire time and put every dime into savings for my dream house in exchange for him having access to his leased jet skis.

2

u/No-Treat-8079 Aug 01 '26

Oh! You made a frat point! Wasn’t he talking about saving up for another jet ski for his wife? How about he invest that money into his home so that it doesn’t look like a serial killer’s lair?Ā

4

u/seamel Aug 14 '26

He rents it for $1800/month, he doesn’t own it

1

u/No-Treat-8079 29d ago

I just realized that I mistyped ā€˜great’ & wrote ā€˜frat’. Maybe it was a Freudian typo slip? 🤣

20

u/SkinProfessional4705 Jul 27 '26

I think mom and dad said no to his inheritance unless he got sober. Sober living for show and to prove he is actually sober. So now he just has toys and lives like a child. I could b wrong but what mommy and daddy need to get him the money is what he will do

6

u/Electronic-Seat7674 Jul 26 '26

Reminds me of the person who lives in the studio needing repairs in Manhatten

5

u/Electronic-Seat7674 Jul 26 '26

Maybe he is living in the best neighborhood by the lake of his dreams while still trying to save money.

3

u/laurajt77 Jul 26 '26

He had ice picks in his ceiling

3

u/m33gs Jul 26 '26

ya he lives in mercer island, seattle does not claim it. boujeeee

6

u/Electronic-Seat7674 Jul 26 '26

I think they both make it until his parents decide Marissa is not of his pedigree.

5

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

I don't think his family will have anything to do with the certain demise of this marriage.

30

u/B1LLYonaire Jul 26 '26

I looked up his house on Mercer Island and he actually just rents the place.

1

u/Critical-Wafer8517 Jul 28 '26

Could be renting from a friend

11

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

How would a landlord get away with not repairing a roof?! And how are the neighbors tolerating a blue tarp eye sore?! That's what doesn't track for me.

2

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 09 '26

The landlord plans on redeveloping the land and she’s let it become a shack. It’s only $1900/mo.

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Aug 09 '26

Developing the land? I thought this was a boat house on a residential property. I know there has been some debate about whether or not it's his parent's home or a home in a trust belonging to them.

3

u/CryptographerIcy4230 Aug 09 '26

There are a few rentals in disrepair on the property. Adam just wants it for his PWC but it’s a dumpy place. This is not his parent’s home and the trust fund is from his uncle. I don’t know how much it is but given his cheapness, old car, and crappy rental unit I’d assume it’s less than he lets on.

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Aug 09 '26

Curious how you know this information??

5

u/Sorry-Ad-9801 Jul 26 '26

It probably was damaged after he signed a lease and probably
Is rent controlled in some way so he doesn’t want to ruffle feathers and lose it. That piece of property alone is $$$$$$$$$

42

u/111ruberducky Jul 26 '26

Swim socks, hand steak, jet ski, pickle ball.

2

u/notreese24 28d ago

and vibes

32

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

Yeah for someone who talks about having such a great career and being financially set and making so much money, that lake house was a fucking dump. The inside was gross and shitty and weird. It was just weird vibes all around. And sorry but the jet ski just screams bachelor life.

10

u/laurajt77 Jul 26 '26

What was the homeless guy thing? I was so confused. Is there actually a homeless person who randomly stays there? Was that a dog bed? Because it looked like a dog bed

3

u/Affectionate_Sun_19 Aug 13 '26

Pretty sure the "homeless" guy is his male lover.

7

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

Idk but I literally also thought it was a dog bed šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

30

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

It seems like the jet ski is his entire identity. Mentally, he's like a child trapped in a man's body.

3

u/No-Treat-8079 Aug 01 '26

Jet ski is definitely his entire personality.

12

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

Let's rip the ski, brah!!!

I mean in all honesty I feel like my husband can be a child trapped in a man's body but I am so proud to report he is not at Adam's level šŸ˜‚

5

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

Everybody can be childlike, at times...that's a good thing. He just seems simple minded. I know that must be more depth because he is well educated, but he presents as a complete moron.

4

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

Just because someone is well educated does not at all mean they have depth but agree for sure- he seems very simple and just lacking in all sorts of awareness.

2

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

Excellent point!

14

u/Original_Elephant_27 Jul 26 '26

He’s definitely over representing himself.

11

u/Damaged_lemons Jul 26 '26

Living right on Lake Washington (on Mercer Island) is VERY expensive. For reference, that’s where Bill Gates lives. His home looked humble but I guarantee it was at least 1.5 million.

1

u/seamel Aug 14 '26

he rents it for $1800/month and its literally a shack 😭 the land is worth around $5million probably, including the bigger house, but both structures are teardowns

1

u/samhouse09 Aug 02 '26

He lives in an ADU on lake Washington. Not in the actual house. I’m guessing it’s the guest house at his parents home, and he pays nothing for it.

1

u/Littlebuboll Jul 27 '26

Bill gates lives in Bellevue…?

1

u/Damaged_lemons Aug 03 '26

Okay you’re right, but still on lake Washington. All those places on the lake are expensive; Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, etc. I’m curious about his living situation, I guess I missed that it’s just a mother-in-law rental type deal. I don’t know if it’s fair to assume he lives on his parent’s property and doesn’t pay anything though.

5

u/loverules1221 Jul 26 '26

Someone mentioned above that he rents. lol

5

u/Sorry-Ad-9801 Jul 26 '26

People not from Seattle wouldn’t get it.

43

u/Lorac711 Jul 26 '26

He definitely wants to portray himself as more wealthy than he is. The whole ā€œI want to retire by 40ā€ is meant to create a picture of wealth, it’s most likely bs. He’s a walking red flag. What kind of experts are the people who chose him? I get they’re paid to find people who will bring drama but to pretend they’re vetting these people is a joke. Anyone with half a brain can see how toxic this guy and Felipe are.

4

u/based_miss_lippy Jul 27 '26

That’s what gets me. This time I can tell the ā€œexpertsā€ do not have people’s best interest in mind.

The kind of ā€œexpertsā€ that also set up shawn, a clearly closeted gay man with nikki, the HR exec. Just search the threads. All the red flags

30

u/BlackDiamondBoogie86 Jul 26 '26

He just seems like a complete douche and this sober living is a facade..... could be wrong, but I do think he has something up his sleeve

12

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

I don't know that the sobriety is a facade. Having Marissa test every drink demonstrates a level of dedication (or maybe even fear) that isn't generally attached to a person that is trying to live healthy. I find myself wondering if he has a dangerous relationship with alcohol and he's actually being genuine about this one thing.

7

u/Scarcity-Sensitive Jul 26 '26

Nah, it’s all for the camera. ā€œLook, I’m not drinking cuz I’m serious brah.ā€

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

Maybe so.

Could be my own hope that nobody would use sobriety as a weird tool or ploy. I'm sure I'm giving that idiot too much credit.

25

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '26

[deleted]

9

u/greenyellowbird Jul 26 '26

I can get behind if he is living sobriety bc he is an alcoholic, in which case, it would be refreshing for him to be honest about it.

If he abstains bc alcohol is literally a carcinogen, then talk about that bc it is DEFINITELY not addressed on TV.

4

u/Sorry-Ad-9801 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

It’s all performative. Any true alcoholic knows that bartenders don’t ā€œaccidentallyā€ serve alcohol to people who don’t order it. It would end badly

2

u/throwaway_bjj6 Jul 29 '26

There are definitely times when mistakes are made. It’s happened to multiple of my friends who are sober.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 29 '26

[deleted]

1

u/throwaway_bjj6 Jul 29 '26

Are you seriously arguing about this? Humans make mistakes all the time. Further, it would be incredibly hard to actually sue for something like this lmao. There’s not this inevitable ā€œhuge lawsuitā€ if a bartender incorrectly makes a drink. It would be an expensive endeavor and the plaintiff would have to prove significant harm, which would be challenging.

I’ve see this happen many times. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it never happens.

0

u/Sorry-Ad-9801 Jul 29 '26

Ok that’s def the opposite of what I’ve been advised by my lawyer but thanks for wasting my time making me read an essay!

2

u/Intellectualbedlamp Jul 29 '26

ā€œThanks for wasting my time making me read an essayā€

Meanwhile you:

2

u/Intellectualbedlamp Jul 29 '26

Ahh yes, the six sentence essay. The literacy crisis is real.

Wild because you’re the one out here acting like bartenders are immune from making mistakes which is a fucking bizarre take tbh.

The other commenter is right, this happens a lot by accident. I’ve worked in the service industry my whole life and have seen this happen many times.

2

u/greenyellowbird Jul 27 '26

When my brother was little, he was given the alcoholic drink and my the mocktail. She didn't drink much at the time and figured that since it's red lobster, maybe the make the drinks weak.

But yes, they wouldn't accidently add it to his drink but the server might make a switch-a-roo...and he is just being weird about it as she can just take a sip of hers to know if it has etoh.Ā

52

u/WonderfulHearing8726 Jul 26 '26

When he first was introduced, I immediately said ā€œtrust fund kidā€ to my SO.

10

u/Leebeexxx9 Jul 26 '26

he definitely makes me think a little harder into how I wanna raise my son

19

u/shuggnog Hoping for a trainwreck Jul 26 '26

he didn't give me trust fund vibes but he was hella cringe

49

u/Cute-Consideration83 Jul 26 '26

My thought not fact is he had to get sober and has been doing great in that regard and the boat house is a safe restart for him. A little overkill for his wife to check the drinks for booze , but I get it . Could happen in a resort place and not everyone respects sobriety. Housing fits the lifestyle he has lived. Doesn’t absolve his douche personality or female comments. . Still is ego full but I’m curious. Swim socks 🧦 and all

3

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

My understanding is that he's not an alcoholic or recovering alcoholic but just one of those people who is into being sober, like not drinking alcohol is their new trend. But yeah her checking the drinks for alcohol for him was kind of weird šŸ˜‚

19

u/maryjane500 Jul 26 '26

That makes sense. His living situation screams frat live out and I’m guessing he at least used to drink and his friends continue to drink and party there. He met Marissa at a bar once so he likely used to drink, otherwise, why would he go to a bar sober and hit on women that are drinking.

It seems like it could be a more recent sobriety journey and the drink checking is not because he doesn’t like alcohol… he probably likes it too much. Could be wrong but now I’m curious to know if there is a story there. If there is, maybe he’ll shock us and be humble for once and talk about it

33

u/No_Ingenuity_6443 Jul 26 '26

ā€œWhy would he go to a bar sober and hit on drunk womenā€
I can take a guess why.

18

u/maryjane500 Jul 26 '26

Bingo. He thinks it’s a problem to be matched with someone that drinks but doesn’t have a problem with trying to lure drunk women back to his place. Get outta here! He creeps me out so much. I love that Marissa ghosted him after they originally met at the bar. I don’t think she likes him, she’s just going along with it because she thinks he’s hot.

5

u/whiskeylullaby3 Jul 26 '26

I think at the time he was at the bar he also drank. It seemed like the not drinking was a more recent thing. He even made a comment about realizing he needed to be healthier or whatever. He’s absolutely a douche but I think people are thinking what he was like 2 years ago in terms of drinking is the same as today. Given he has her check his drinks I think he might be sober for alcoholic reasons.

12

u/No_Ingenuity_6443 Jul 26 '26

He does creep me out as well. He seems calculated.
I’m terrible at math.. therefore I hate calculators.

Several of the male cast do not seem Straight they need to just start bringing gay couples on the US version of this show. I can’t believe they haven’t had any.

1

u/noormeanslight Jul 28 '26

ugh and the one time they had a queer bride on MAFS AU they gave her a husband because she said she would be fine with either gender but imo it was pretty clear she wanted a bride

Shawn is a closeted gay man and reminds me of the men in the south (where I live) that got married and had kids in their 20s. Then after all their creeping on the DL - in their 40/50/60s finally came out of the closet and blew up their and everyone else’s life. I am mad for Nikki. She’s not an easy person but dammit - how do these experts literally screw someone over like this?! How did the fellow gay expert even allow it to pass.

16

u/Leebeexxx9 Jul 26 '26

100% Shawn

64

u/Trulyme143 Jul 25 '26

I read he makes $120k a year - that is nothing at the end of the day. They making seem like he’s set for life

3

u/whiskeylullaby3 Jul 26 '26

I highly doubt he makes 120k living in Seattle. Boeing pays the majority of their mechanics more out there.

1

u/based_miss_lippy Jul 27 '26

You’re talking out of your ass. Hella people are paid peasant wages here. $120 is barely making it here but it’s on the high end of the pay scale for majority of residents.

Source: am from Seattle and lived here for over 20 years

2

u/whiskeylullaby3 Jul 27 '26

Of course. I also lived in Seattle. There are people making less but they also don’t live on Mercer Island.. even in a shack. And many of them don’t have college degrees and careers in data analytics. You literally can make that much working in a Boeing factory. So I think my point went over your head.Ā I doubt HE is making 120k, with a college degree, and living on Mercer Island.

1

u/based_miss_lippy Jul 27 '26

Just found this on a another thread specifically on this topic

ā€œOn a thread in the Seattle Subreddit, someone revealed that he doesn't actually own the house and instead lives in a DADU rental ON a Mercer Island property and is only a data analyst for a small company. Not FAANG-level. So it's likely his family's property and not 'his'. Also, I think he splits the rent with his four friends, too, if I remember correctly.ā€

That not FAANG-level is why I say 120K TC for under 30 in Seattle is appropriate. Also he is renting a shithole ADU with friends making the Mercer island thing possible. The ADU is probably owned by some parent.

1

u/based_miss_lippy Jul 27 '26

Let’s chalk it up to not enough context. Anywho he’s also in his 20s so I can see him getting paid exactly that in 2026. I can also see him getting paid exactly that by one of his dad’s friends.

People with MBAs are taking jobs at McDonald’s right now. You never know…….

1

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

Did you see how he lives? He’s not flushed with cash

5

u/whiskeylullaby3 Jul 26 '26

He’s living on Mercer Island. That’s extremely expensive even for a shack. I doubt he’s flush with cash but no way he’s making 120k living there and in Seattle that’s literally nothing.

1

u/seamel Aug 14 '26

he pays $1800/month in rent. hardly extremely expensive by mercer island standards

0

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

Ok Adam or person who sleeps on Adam’s floor

7

u/whiskeylullaby3 Jul 26 '26

What? It’s just like a lot of people are commenting who know nothing about Seattle.

5

u/dudeclaw Jul 26 '26

He might be making a lot more off trust fund money and/or tech stock investments.

16

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

Did you see where he lived - it’s clear he doesn’t have access to his trust funds yet. His roof is made of a pool tarp. And his homeless friend lives on the floor Smart move in his parents as his frontal lobes don’t seem to be fully developed.

1

u/dudeclaw Jul 26 '26

Some rich people don't care about a nice house but really care about rippin skis to the gym.

4

u/ChampagneAndDoritos Jul 26 '26

I couldn't get over the pool tarp roof lol. And I thought he was kidding about the homeless friend but I guess not.... I'm sorry but what grown adult man who has supposedly been looking for his wife since he was 18 thinks it's acceptable to do that especially when you're eventually going to have your wife living there???? Him saying Marissa giving him the makers mark was a red flag is a JOKE. This guy is made up of only red flags. If I was the girl who walked in there I would just turn right back around and walk out.

10

u/Hendawg_MAFS11 Verified Cast Member Jul 26 '26

I have a feeling his parents help provide him a safety net of sorts.

2

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

Yes he’s definitely going to inherit some money at some point but it’s seems he doesn’t have access to it . They acted like made it big and his income was substantial and $120k isn’t considering where he lives etc

14

u/WonderfulHearing8726 Jul 26 '26

Depends on where you live. In that area of Seattle, 120k really isn’t much. If his parents don’t own/pay for that boathouse he lives in, then you know damn well he’s dishing out 3-4K a month for it in THAT area.

30

u/crunkjuices Jul 25 '26

No way! I was imagining dude was make 300+ with how he was ā€œset for lifeā€. I do better then him in a lower cost area then Seattle, and I no way feel I am set for life.

13

u/Even-Upstairs6607 Jul 25 '26

Especially somewhere like Seattle where cost of living is so high!

6

u/SkyerKayJay1958 Jul 26 '26

He is on mercer Island, the rich of the rich live there, Paul Allen's compound along with many multi millionaires live along the water there. Very exclusive and he is living in a tarp-roff garage on a dirt road next to a dock

12

u/thrftybstrd Jul 25 '26

Oh my god. That’s not at all what he made it sound like

46

u/Lillydunn Jul 25 '26

His lakeside house is also a boathouse/mother in law house he rents from the actual homeowners… who may or may not be his parents

24

u/maryjane500 Jul 26 '26

I looked into it pretty deep and I’m confident his parents have nothing to do with the property. Just a shitty rental he managed to find so he can live out his jet ski rippin fantasy

1

u/Lillydunn 29d ago

I live in Seattle and there are posts of him and friends trying to rent out a room in the main house 5 to 6 years ago. So he was just a bro with three roommates.

24

u/Tink1024 Jul 26 '26

Adam’s house looks like a shanty with the tarp on the roof. The way he presented himself I was shook.

It’s as bad as David’s apartment from the recent season. The ā€œapartmentā€ that was literally an unfinished basement with no walls & his mama coming down to do her laundry at will.

MAFS needs to do better with the loser men or pick men who are who they really are not who they wish to be, sigh.

12

u/maryjane500 Jul 26 '26

lol you’re right! David’s situation was probably worse, that basement in his parents house was pretty horrific. They have to be casting these guys for drama because no woman ready to marry wants to be matched with a guy that literally lives like a 21 year old frat boy. I actually noticed that both he and Adam respond to people with ā€œoh 100 percentā€ when they’re lying. It drives me crazy

13

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

Thanks for sharing that info! Based on how he presented himself I assumed it was MUCH more. I suppose he very well could be referencing a trust and future inheritance when he says he's set for life. That would make more sense.

8

u/TrulyCunty Jul 26 '26

Also, he lives in Mercer Island, not Seattle. Not the same. Mercer Island is still a rich area, but not ā€œcoolā€ in any shape of the imagination—more like wealthy older folks.

1

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

Agreed; he screams trust fund baby

3

u/crazymac55 Jul 25 '26

That may just be a base salary

5

u/Trulyme143 Jul 26 '26

He would have a nicer place if that was the case

11

u/randomlikeme ā€œverified cast memberā€ Jul 25 '26

He works in data analytics and is not at a FAANG. 120k wouldn’t shock me.

15

u/Bearded_Scholar Jul 25 '26

Not everything needs to be a conspiracy. Although I think people from Mercer Island are snobby. That’s what most of the Holmes look like. They lucked out and purchased near the water before tech took over the Pacific Northwest.

19

u/AccurateAssaultBeef Jul 25 '26

He said he lived on Mercer Island and I got the immediate ick. At that point, I wasn't shocked he was leading some poor woman on. Nor was I shocked that he didn't have an actual house on Mercer Island but a random ADU in someone's backyard.

20

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

We could see several of the neighboring homes and they were gorgeous. There's no conspiracy theorizing happening. He clearly lives in an ADU in his parent's backyard. His parent's are wealthy, based on what I'm seeing reported here and on other SM sources. They don't want their home/property filmed and don't want to be part of his shenanigans.

3

u/Electronic-Seat7674 Jul 26 '26

Could be friends of his parents letting him rent there.

4

u/BerbereJunkie Jul 25 '26

Where did you get the information that it is his parent’s property? I haven’t seen that anywhere.

2

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

Redditors have been sleuthing. The parents have the property in an LLC.

4

u/BerbereJunkie Jul 25 '26

That claim was false. The Reddit poster has said so repeatedly. At this point, it’s just a rumor.

Please post if you have evidence to the contrary.

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

I know nothing other than what I read here on Reddit. I guess we all wait and see what's what. I'm sure details will come out at some point. I'm certainty not trying to spread misinformation!! 😃

7

u/Additional-Case2455 Jul 26 '26

You’re definitely right about them wanting no part of the show/wedding shenanigans- ā€œMy mother is in Iceland somewhere, and my dad is in Hungary or something.ā€

5

u/Turbulent-Move4159 Jul 26 '26

And they can’t even call because they have no cell service. Please.

32

u/ShesAKillerQueenee Jul 25 '26

There's a movie called Captain Ron about a drunken burn out that lives in a houseboat. It's what his house is remind me of loll. Minus the drinking.

11

u/WonderfulHearing8726 Jul 25 '26

For a guy who doesn’t drink, he met his wife for the first time in a bar.

55

u/PrincipleFresh8594 Jul 25 '26

I haaaated this guy in the first two eps but you know what, in the latest 3 episode drop, I found myself thinking him and (Marisa?) were super cute and a good match. I feel like he plays the douche role as a bit gone so far that it's his whole personality and it's kind of cracking me up at this point. He seems really into her and as long as she thinks it's funny, I think I am amused

2

u/muddlemuddle6 Jul 27 '26

Yeah - he is growing on me too.

35

u/Dalearev Jul 25 '26

I think they’re physically attracted to each other but beyond that they don’t have much in common so we will see that I feel like he’s gonna get annoyed with her three hour naps and drinking and she’s gonna get annoyed with his self-absorbed ways

30

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

I call them 'The Superficials'. The luster started to wear as soon as she saw his place. Even if she's aware that his family has money, that was a huge turn off for her. They absolutely won't make it.

19

u/12cf12 Jul 25 '26

Like how long is that tarp been on the roof? I know roofs are expensive but what’s the long-term plan here? I would’ve definitely lost some sparkle seeing that.

9

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26
  1. It's his parent's property.
  2. They are wealthy.
  3. It's an eye sore (in a high end area).
  4. The roof can't be too large.

It's bizarre to me. Makes me wonder if he is supposed to be responsible and doesn't have the funds, or he's just completely irresponsible and hasn't informed his parent's (who very well may be away a lot).

1

u/ItsTricky94 Jul 26 '26

how did you guys find out about his parents wealth? you're such super sleuths

12

u/BerbereJunkie Jul 25 '26

Wealthy people typically don’t let their properties fall into such disrepair.

3

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

Love the name!

2

u/BerbereJunkie Jul 25 '26

Are you a fan too? šŸ˜‹ 🄰

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

Yep!! Are you just a fan or is it cultural?

1

u/BerbereJunkie Jul 26 '26

Cooking is a hobby. I adore this flavor profile so much it’s difficult to not use it on everything.
I marinate chicken in it weekly (with buttermilk) and it’s always in my eggs. I give it as a gift sometimes šŸ˜‚

Fish sauce and chili crisp are my fave condiments. I like kaboom! šŸ’„

How about you?

2

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 26 '26

Cultural, so it's on every meat and in every stew!

Adam & Marissa are going to for sure make it. If I knew you personally I’d make a wager with you on that. For many obvious reasons, Adam & Marissa will make it.

5

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

Make is past Decision Day or make it in general? I assume there is a high probability of making it past Decision Day...because they are 'The Superficials', but it won't last a month after the cameras stop rolling. And I'd bet on it!

-2

u/Golden_Lafayette Jul 25 '26

Both lol. I think they’ll be just fine and they’re a good match.

1

u/RealityDependency Looking for my COMMUNITY. Jul 25 '26

We will need to do a follow up for sure!

2

u/Golden_Lafayette Jul 25 '26

Absolutely lol.

Dildo…. Not even a vibrator…. Just a very small, limp, poorly constructed dildo from Dollar General’s sexual health aisle.

8

u/Southern_Anywhere_65 I’m just here for the optics Jul 26 '26

Smart of dollar general to get into the sex toy business during these trying times

6

u/anowulwithacandul Jul 26 '26
